Kwame, you just shoot your mouth off without first closely examining the strategic reasons behind the proposed upgrading of the Tamale Airport.....besides the reasons assigned by the minister, upgrading the Tamale Airport to international standards will increase economic activity to unprecedented levels; it will cut the travelling time between Ghana and Europe by an hour and in aviation that means a great deal for airlines who would save on fuel and wear and tear on their aircrafts.

What is more, exporters from the northern and Brong Ahafo regions will now have ample room to send their wares and goods to consumers abroad without the hassle of shipping them first to Accra. Distance counts here, and everyone in business knows that the faster you get your goods and services to your clients the more confidence and trust they repose in you, and the more prosperous and wealthy your company becomes.....

There is some vision there! There has been a heavy expenditure on Bui dam and it's irrigation. I was wandering what was the use as vegetable growers could take day(s)to reach Accra for export. Now the vegetable Glowers can export direct from North plus 3 other Northern regions including some part of BA,VR,Ashanti region could also benefit. Personally, one of the best decision by this Government!
My only critic is when they try to design the airport to reflect the local image even though is an international airport! Just erect nice glass structure like we see in other western world!
We live in higher temperature country so is improper to build such higher occupancy structure like local oven just for the sake of local image! Who ever brought that idea needs a check up!
