  I have read some of the comments and frankly....it only goes to show that Ghanaians are people who only respect people with money and white coaches. Of the 32 team in Brazil 2014 world cup, Appian was lowest paid coach with the exception of the Mexician coach. People like kp boateng have shown themselves to be ignorant of culture and respect for those in authority. There a reason why he behaves the way he does. The GFA went to beg him to come back... How stupid was that....is kp boateng the only good player for Ghana? Personally I feel sorry for Appian because he position become untenable when yet again they are prepared to pay a white foreigner more than ten times the amount they were paying to Appiah. What does that tell you? Appian is the Ghanaian coach to take Ghana to a world cup....at what point will the next Ghanaian coach do the same if the GFA persist in hiring white foreigners and not Ghanaian. We need our own people to manage the The Black Stars...not foreigners from eastern Europe!!!!!

  I have written consistently that a typical Ghanaian without European base back ground would always have difficulty to deal with our young ones who live and pry business in Europe. They have a different style from the typical Ghanaian.
  I have lived outside Ghana since 1984. Our children in abroad are open minded. Though respectful in many ways, they do not hesitate to tell you the parent what they think and what you the parent done wrong.
  The typical Ghanaian would hardly find it disrespectful. But it is a way of life in Europe to speak your mind.
  I can see a young man Kevin Boateng telling Coach Appiah that "you don't now what you are doing." And KP could use all the s.., f.. and all that if he consider's Coach Appiah decisions as incompetent. GFA should count himself lucky for Bollatelli chose to play for Italy. He would have been a hard nut to deal with.
  
  As long as GFA is going to rely on these European Ghanaians, we will need a Coach you has European base life style. Any typical Ghanaian mentality or life style will always have problems dealing with our new breed Ghanaian-Europeans.

  It would be easy for KB to tell Coach Appiah "you f.. up with that selection". Or "what the f.. you sat me out for"? These expressions in KB's mind is normal and regular European expressions. Kevin is only a footballer with no higher education or corporate manners.
  
  Appiah was simply not the right guy to coach players of European mentality. I have written many times that Black Stars must be coached by someone with European back ground or life style. Not necessarily, a white man. But A Ghanaian who has lived and played in Europe could relate and manage our breed or Ghanaian European players.

  People brought up in develop world may sometime come across as being disrespectful, but in fact it is the way of life. I live in NYC and I call my Director at work by his first name ( Jerry). In Africa, this behavior could be ground for dismissal. I like to see AA go overseas and coach any type of team just for the experience, (I am not talking about him going overseas for a visit, but rather living there for about 7years) there is a big difference.

Perhaps Coach Appiah failed to take into account the idiosyncrasies of his players. He referred to Boateng as often using the F-word. May be the coach failed to realize that Boateng could be foul-mouth jerk who meant no harm through is foul language.

It requires qualities, that engenders mentoring, counselling, and understanding the players emotional intelligence, without these attributes, one cannot be a coach, and clearly, Appiah doesn't seem to have those. As an excellent a player as he was, as a good a person, as he is, coaching is not his cup of tea.

And no player, must not get their way, the teacher sets the ground rules, and they must all fall in line. This is not an easy job for anyone, but a teacher, and a coach who knows their job, carry on and get the job done

Kevin plays professional soccer under well trained world class coaches he saw AA's tactics and hollowness as a mockery, his laughter on training grounds which has nothing to do with AA attracts AA's insecurity, hence AA's PLOT to punish him by benching him to show Kevin where power lies afuom coach. Kevin also got more furious of AA's decisions that is when the disrespect and penalizing tug war deepened. Akwasi Akwasi Appiah was toying with Ghanaians hearts by playing power struggle with this youngman. Muntari laughs with Kevin and AA is mad thinking they were discussing his incompetence and mocking him. AA is a bad coach he should have been fired long ago.
