Though the position of CHRAJ Commissioner is protected under the Constitution, she can be removed from office if she is found to be incompetent or to have behaved in a manner incompatible with her position and role. That is what has happened (she is incompetent and has been wasting public funds). Her behaviour also amounts to abuse of power/office. She is required to check abuse of office/power by public officials as well as check misappropriation of public funds and she herself has abused her office and misappropriated public funds. For these reasons, she should be removed from office but the process must be started by the Legislature and not the Executive. This was done to avoid a situation where the Executive could misuse its powers to remove a Commissioner and appoint their favorite.

If the woman has any conscience she would resign but as we know in Ghana no public official resigns for wrong doing unless they are sacked. The public can also put pressure on her to resign and that is what should be done.

So please tell us who then can discipline her? She is not worth being a Commissioner. Her behaviour is enough grounds for her to vacate her post and possibly be made to refund money to the state. As a nation we tolerate for too long such financial mismanagement. She should be made to go. Whoever has to take action has to act NOW or else we will begin to do worse financial things. A stich in time saves nine.

The comments here by people who know nothing about what is called the condition of service mean that if a state official is not their relative, then he should operate from the gutter. All these people have written without any of them knowing the conditions of service and the working environment the Commissioner is assured to work in. Accommodation is provided for Chief Executives in every organization, and in the case of churches to every priest.
Thus those who said that civil and public servants should be paid to secure accommodation for themselves and family and should not live in state accommodation, however the same people provide accommodation for their priests and family. It is most unfortunate that some of the people who have been bashing the commissioner for some time now are priests and executives of some NGO who are provided with accommodation by their churches and organizations.
It looks like reason has fleeted this nation and we are out to destroy others in they are not members of our parties, family and relatives.
I agree with Yaw Boadu Ayeboafoh's article in the "Daily Graphic" newspaper today. We wrote that it is not appropriate that workers live kilometers from their offices, whiles the building near to their offices are sold to private persons for accommodation or for any other purpose.
Why should we as a people be so wicked to each other. I am of the view that if such a facility were to have been granted to an expatriate we should have even agitated that his or her benefits should be increased.

Whiles studying in the then Soviet Union from 1977 to 1983 as a condition for student couples were housed at the Russian Holywood. It means that if it were to be Ghana people would have gone there to throw them and their families to unto the street. Conditions of service are not granted to people who are not in the service of an organization. Thus if a person is desirous to get those conditions he or she must become a member of that organization. For instance SSNIT can not pay pension to a person who has not paid his or her contributions to it, and someone should not be aggrieved because a person received compensation for his contributions. Sooner or later people will even go to SSNIT to stop it from paying contribution to its members who belong to some tribes or political parties if this country will not stop this lunatic fringe behaviour.

Lauretta lamprey is a lazy woman. Her whole résumé has been courtesy of nepotism from the days of JJ when she was T.Tchkata's girlfriend, and many of the other big men. They have put her in positions without her having to work for those positions. As such she has an impressive résumé on paper but very empty in reality. A vcertain group from the Western Region are the ones who gave her the job she now has. The government is full of useless incompetent people.

The abuse that is heaped on a siting president is very unghanaian. We may not agree with the NDC but president Mahama is Ghana's president, We must not look at the man in the seat, but we must, at all times, revere the seat he occupies.
