So much debt for generation unborn to pay yet nothing on the ground to show,that is the price a society pays for giving power to people who have not achieve anything in life.Most of these monies are in private accounts.

Let me reserve my comments until finace and economic statistics wits come out to confirm or deny the figures. Figures may just be for propaganda consumption. These figures can be more terrifying than they appear now.

So much debt with nothing to show for except a planning, looting, sharing and a crying brigade (when they are caught with their pants down) siphoning monies borrowed through Woyome, Isofoton, Waterville, Sada, Subah, Gyeeda, Rlg, Zoomlion, YES, GFA, Akonfem and Ghost Tree Planing Projects, CP Partners, and any scheme that will milk the loans.

When the perpetrators like Barton Oduro, Iddrisu, and others who disobeyed direct presidential orders not to pay such gargantuan amounts, are found out, they are made to resign or in his case promoted to become speaker of the House of Parliament.

This is a signal to NDC apparatchiks that the looting brigade goes on unabated. Where are the bloody 200 secondary schools Mahama boasted of in his promises. Where are the universities (when you cant even pay your teachers? Where are the sanitary pads for the girls, though this is not a priority?. Look at the Accra Suhum Kumasi Road which is causing untold number of car and truck breakdowns in the country? Now we have public toilets that have been closed down and people are shitting on beaches and elsewhere at Korle Gonno and Nungua.

Where is all this borrowing going? rightly in the pockets of Mahama and the looting brigade.

Arrears and interest payments, in other words payments that we get nothing in return for was over 23b. This included a target of 6.3b for outstanding debt but 19.3 was actually paid. Is it a good thing? What was the explanation for the huge additional payment
Generally reducing imports is a good thing but when it's due to lack of foreign currency, it's seen as poor performance.
The governor is trying to show you a that the indicators are moving the right way but the underlying figures and factors show things are still bleak indeed

Which foreign investor in his or her right mind is going to risk his or her money in the mess we have in Ghana and expect even to get his original capital back not to talk about profits, in such climate of incompetence, no electricity, water, no good roads for distribution of goods and services, no nothing, with a currency in free fall which will devalue any monies brought in for investment. Ghanaian leadership currently is hopeless, without vision, creativity and competence. The only thing they do best is lie, and steal from the tax payer; cause pain to the citizens and Ghanaians unlike the Thai people, are a bunch of cowards without a single protest and keep chanting 3b3 yie and praying for the cedi to rise instead of getting off their backsides to register their displeasure for the performance of the government.

This means in absolute terms, NPP accumulated a total debt of (9+6)= 15B USD in only 8 years in power. NDC in 6 years have only added (12.62 B -9B) 3.62B USD to total stock of our debts. Our debt is caused by the 8 years of create loot and share policy NPP adopted whiles in power.

The amount written off was only a proportion of the entire debt with concessions such as reduced interest rates for some of the balance. I don't have the actual data but figures published by BOG are totally different from the concoction you wrote. Typical ndc liar
To add a figure to the amount of the assumed loans written to come to calculate the loan balance as at the period npp left power clearly shows you don't understand what you are talking about. You are confused or ignorant

We must not borrow anymore until this size of deficit has been cut down to below 10% of our GDP. A deficit of 55.4% of GDP is reckless spending.

Meanwhile, where is our Woyome money? How long will we have to wait to recover the amount in full plus interest?

We need our Money now!!

I also would like to know what happened to the Aeroplane-full load of Gold that was siezed in Iran. Does anyone know what became of that case? We must not let such matters easily, and so quickly, fizzle out of memory.
