Let us stop politicizing everything the Government does. Let us think beyond the box Hon. Mr. Manu.
In this age and time, why should there be even " pupil teachers" in Ghana when we have millions of unemployed University graduates?
It seems that Ghanaians do not really understand the benefits of education and that the early stages of educating our children matters more than even the latter years - we call this the FOUNDATION.
And if the early years are that important, why wouldn't Ghana use our unemployed graduates to take over as teachers in our elementary and High Schools.
I know of people with PHDs heading schools in the U.S. and teachers with Masters Degrees teaching High Schools and even elementary schools.
Let us encourage the so-called "pupil teachers" to go back to school to better their lives for the future instead of wasting their precious time as "pupil teachers".
What do you expect your children's grades to be if their beginnings were lousy? The BECE results have been terrible and that's the main cause.
Start using University graduates in our school system and do away with this 'colonial days' mentality.
That title-pupil teacher- should be abolished from the teaching profession.
Grow up Ghana and our so-called MPs.

Meanwhile, it takes days and years for a simple letter to be received from these places. No accountabilities because of cronism.

The equivalent of a pupil teacher is K-G 1 in today's terms. With many unemployed university and polytechnic graduates who in his right mind would hire the services of a people teacher?I can't believe there are pupil teachers in the system and on government payroll. This is ridiculous. No wonder IMF can't stomach this nonsense.
