Despite Nkrumah's greatness, CPP is a dead party. Instead of focusing on 21st century avenues to grow the party, they focus on "history". Even China has scaled back on Mao Zedong celebrations as they focus on market-based reforms. CPP should let the history books take care of Nkrumah while the party finds new ways to attract new members. Nkrumah is gone (nothing CPP can do about that); and what voters see now are a bunch of useless CPP leaders. That is the reality on the ground, whether CPP members want to accept this or not.

They(mate-meho-Danquah-Busia gang) came to power after Osagyefo and destroyed everything and Ghana has never been the same. Nana's father was one of them. Now they try to cower from their evil roots. If only two personalities decide to fall out of a political party, it should not constitute enough grounds to describe this as an internal contradiction. People move from one political party to another all the time. They are free to do so in a multi-party democracy - especially if their party leadership is not performing well enough to retain them.

Kweku Baako and Pratt are insignificant when it comes to pursuing the ideals of the Osagyefo. It is best that they stay where they now are.

Kweku Baako for instance has now done a full cycle 360 degree somersault to become an ardent reactionary. The next thing we will hear from him is possibly the dismissal of anything that Nkrumah stood for.

As for Kwesi Pratt, he also has fizzled out to become a full time opportunist, languishing in the harem of the most corrupt govt that this country has ever had the misfortune of being saddled with.

My advice is that the rank and file of the CPP should forget about them and concentrate on changing its leadership for a more politically enlightened and an ideologically determined batch of leaders. What is in place now is a waste of time and an embarrassment to the memory of the Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

Just act on the principles he left and stop the cheap self serving worship which just uses Nkrumah's name for selfish ends. The biggest acts of treachery against Nkrumah came from within the CPP and within the Flagstaff house. So stop taking cheap shots at his opponents on basis of history and look at the present day actors who shout loudest and brag the most about Nkrumah. Ask them what they have done to fulfill his vision apart from promoting themselves and their ambitions. Nkrumah does not need our infantile worship, He has already claimed a place for himself in history that no one can take away from him no matter his faults. Yes he had faults too becuase he was not a saint. But he was great and so far the greatest Ghanaian that ever lived. Now it is time to work towards someone else whose name is not Nkrumah doing great things for Ghana. That means you and me so lets get cracking and stop cheap idol worship that Nkrumah will probably spit at if that is all our effort so far!
