  Expansion what? Trying to do expansion work at KIA? Ghana Airport is an eyesore and disgrace to Ghanaian after 50 years of independence.Pull that thing that you call airport down and build something presentable with modern JETWAYS(Jet Bridge). We need a movable connector which extends from an airport terminal gate to an airplane, allowing passengers to board and disembark without going outside. Visionless leaders. We are not going anywhere.

  The author of this article should please note that Kotoka is the one and only international airport in Ghana. This airport should be renamed as Kotoka Airport as the current name of Kotoka International Airport is so embarrassing. KIA is one joke of an airport and is not even fit to be just a domestic airport. The powers that be whose priority is to travel the world will attest to this as they gave seen the structures and sophistication of other international airports in other parts of the world including The Americas, Europe, Asia and even La Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, South Africa and of course Dubai. KIA does not give a good first impression of our beloved Motherland at all. What paints an even worse picture for first time visitors to Ghana is the attitude of the immigration officials and the very corrupt/greedy/shameless customs officials who harass already tired travellers for money and gifts. This country has really gone to the dogs and needs to be saved. Ghana, we have a long way to go.

  The whole of KIA need to be raised down and a 21st century airport built. What they intend to do is just kids play considering the airport tax the government of Ghana takes from passengers
