Students go to college to learn and not to do politics.

Ucc has been restricting our rights for soo long. so this is an extension of that and therefore nothing new. students write quizzes as at 4:00 am and yet we cannot complain.

Some politicians are using students like robots and I do agree with Prof. Kunpole for the decision. This should be extended to all tertiary institutions and any student caught in the act doing that should be expelled.

Okudjeto Ablakwa, Fiifi Kwetey, Ofosu Kwakye etc are their role models, see how rich they are . Ablakwa advised some students to get involved.

This is good. Student activism has contributed to the present rot in the Nigerian system and many schools have banned student unions now.

I am an alumni but believe it or not this university is a sub-standard one so are the other universities in Ghana. I have travelled extensively to other countries in Africa, Europe, Australia, Asia and America; indeed our universities need a serious curriculum restructuring. Overcrowded lecture theatres and limited access to academic materials including other problems such as basic psychological needs like reliable portable water make our institution a laughing stock. Students writing quizzes and examinations as early as 4:00 am are issues worth mentioning at matriculation ceremonies. I believe there should be a limit in our democratic dispensation particularly in our tertiary institutions. However, people like Prof. Kuupole will be worried because they are not delivering to bring changes into our academic settings and as student try to fight for their right taking such a brutal decision will be a big blow. Agricultural students taking unnecessary modules, often leading to sacking students who deserve better also need to be talked about instead of politics. If they think the courses they are pursuing will help in making their lives better I don't think they will involve in politics. I don't know whether people have realised that the problems we have in the country at the are all created by our tertiary institutions as a result of poor academic packages delivered.

I WROTE ELSEWHERE BEFORE THAT I NEVER SAW NOR HEARD OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN OTHER NOTABLE INSTITUTIONS GETTING INVOLVED IN AGITATION AND POLITICS AS EXISTING IN GHANA. THE AUTHORITIES MUST DO SOMETHING AND CURB THIS BEHAVIOUR BY OUR STUDENTS IN GHANA. THEY MUST EMULATE GOOD UNIVERSITIES IN OTHER DEVELOPED NATIONS. IT IS DISGRACEFUL SEEING UNIVERSITY STUDENTS BEHAVING AS SUCH.
