And it is not as though Campore[Bukinabes] sees eye to eye with 'baby' Eyadema[Togolese];or that the Congolese on both sides of the River Congo,are the best of friends!
What worries me a great deal is the 'strange' positions which have been taken by some of our so-called experts in the area of Peace and International Relations! As the Akan saying goes:"Wobe y3 nyunu a y3 nyunu,wobey3 hye nsoa y3 hye"! This lukewarm posture,or 'I-told-you-so' attitude is not going to inure to the benefit of any particular group in this country!
While serious-minded person will advocate a wholesale jumping on the bandwagon,the least one can expect from these knowlegeable persons,is for them to take the time to lay out,and these steps the govt has taken so far, to bring a peaceful and amicable resolution to this maritime 'dispute',like Omane Boamah did this morning on NhyiraFM`s Kuro Yi Mu Ns3m Show. I would also wish the AG and her team,would concentrate on crossing the 'Ts' and dotting the 'Is',rather thangranting 'meaningless' interviews,raising expectations that may come back to haunt her and this administration. For the life of me, I am at a loss to explain why certain people,especially politicians and lawyers,cannot resist the temptation of talking to the media about sensitive matters such as we have on our hands now! And I sure hope that pertinent dossiers which mysteriously vanished from our state archives, will not come back to 'bite' us.
Recall the Akoto Osei 'Wahala' in one of the arbitration cases not too long ago? I rest my case.

In academic discourse you look at cases and analysis it objectively. If you don't want to hear the truth don't call Aning. He will put it on the table for you. Such things can keep you thinking so you do your homework well.

To solve this problem the government of Ghana has over the decades made scholarships available for the needed human resource to be trained abroad. In some cases so many people were sent and not even one returned. If you know you are not prepared to work and live in Ghana and would therefore not return do not take the scholarships.

The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.

Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.

Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.

Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

In any case saying the matter may go either way does not mean Ghana is certain to lose. This is the time to assemble our crack International Maritime lawyers ready for our defense and certainly not time for insults.

Just because the UK is no longer our colonial masters does not mean they do not exert a level of influence during such disputes, They have an invested interest as tullow Oil is a uk incorporated business who have invested heavily in the jubillee fields and on oil and gas exploration. The CEO of Tullow Oil is a close friend of a the UK chancellor too
