The problem in Bawku is not about arms or anything other, BUT IMPUNITY.

The Supreme Court settled the chieftaincy dispute years ago, yet one faction has vowed to ignore the ruling and instead of the Government enforcing the law we are all begging both sides to let peace prevail, as if both sides are breaking the law.

Tell me! Does this mean both sides are wrong at the same time? So why beg wrong doers to come to a negotiating table? To negotiate for what - to be allowed to disobey the law? This is the crux of the matter - the inability to enforce the law!!! And worse still the inability of society to say that the law must be enforced.

From all indications the National Peace Council is actually perpetuating the conflict by rewarding the wrong-doer with recognition instead of punishment, why won't they continue?

For goodness sake, Kusasis and Mam[prusis cannot both be right or wrong at the same time. Until this fact is appreciated we are directly fuelling the conflict. Our society is terminally ill HYPOCRISY.

GOVERNMENT SHOULD STOP BEING LAZY IN THEIR APPROACH TO DEALING WITH THE CONFLICT IN BAWKU. Mp Cletus Avoka and MP Mahama Ayariga have stockpiled weapons at Naaf Kologo in Zebilla and Kuka, Missiga and Sobongere in Bawku in Aid of the Kusasis. These two deadly politicians are the king pins of the troubles in Bawku. Also to add that the so called chief's palace is an armoury. If we actually have security persoonel in Bawku then the leads given must aid the notion of safety in Bawku and around.
