Being the only president of the 3rd Republic and kola chewing are the only things we can remember Limann. He set the pace about the ineffectiveness of our northern brothers to hold the office of the President. He was clueless and Mahama is replicating him. Mahama is only lucky because desperados and opportunists like Rawlings are no more in the military. Limann was fully aware that JJ was planning (thanks to PV Obeng and Mankoadze ferrying Gadhafi's ammunitions for JJ's gang) to overthrow him but did nothing because he needed a reliever from the post he never dreamt about. Besides the behind-the-scenes exploitation by Okutwer Bekoe and others who were in no mood to continue Dr. Nkrumah's good works, spoon-fed Limann did not understand why another human being complained about hunger. He was never in tune with the reality since he was a career diplomat and might not have tasted real hardship. He only woke up after being overthrown and JJ did not care for him as much as he is being accorded now. I stand to be corrected.

Nkrumah died 7 years before Limann came to power. How could have saved him. Get the facts right. Even Acheampong who overthrew Busia's government met Nkrumah as a dying man.

There are proper economist who never went to school but are managing their businesses profitably. Not those types of economists that will make a foolish section of Ghanaians jubilant because they have contracted a high interest sovereign debt whereas countries like Korea, Singapore, Japan who give the sovereign credit do not have gold, timber, oil, cocoa, Akosombo dam which Ghana has because they use their God given brains well.
Diplomat, is that the way Dr. Liman a diplomat behaved like Tony Aidoo. The article is saying dr. Liman was a good listener, not a good Ineuter and shouter.

The accusation of the late President of doing nothing but chewing cola was leveled against him by no any other person than the same ethno centric bigots today who insults Mahama and feel that they have the birth rights to rule Ghana and not a Northerner.

We thank God that majority of Ghanaians do not accept their divisive, bigotry and gutter politics. They should understand that you can only achieve power by humility, respect for the different cultures and traditions in this country of ours.
