It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

When I was in Ghana last year. I went to a town known as techimantia to visit my family. The village had a dirty well from where my people were drinking from. I was thirsty and I needed a taste of water, so I went to drink from the well. In a couple of hours I started to feel very sick, I constantly kept vomiting. I was sent to the akomfo anokye hospital. I was waiting for treatment, laying on the floor dying for three days before I had treatment. I came back to the States and saw a local physician, now I am healed, and I am not going to Ghana anymore.

Asantehene needs to help the people of techimantia and build hospitals.

Please, Mr President of Ghana, listen very carefully! Africans in general, and Ghanaians in particular, are telling their own stories all the time! Those of them living in Africa and those residing abroad are all telling THEIR African stories!

Not only are the stories they telling almost all the same in form and content, but also they are in full agreement with the stories that the non-Africans too are telling about Africa. They are stories of excruciating poverty; rising and rising corruption; elite thievery; dumsor dumsor for power supply; ebola on the rage; cholera on a killing spree in Ghana; schools under trees; pipe-born water turn into disease-bearing water; child prostitution on the rise; civil wars and deaths; and many, many more! These are the African stories that are being told by Africans themselves in Africa and abroad!

You are missing the point President Mahama is making. He is asserting that despite all the problems you have mentioned, Africa is making strides with fast-growing economies, democractic governance, socio-economic development and major efforts to redress the problems you mention.

Our President says we must also tell the positive story of our achievements in recent times.

It is not all doom and gloom as the doom-mongers like you would make us all believe.
