It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

There are movement of people from neighboring countries all the time & screening their body temperatures at the ports for ebola means nothing because, the victims can be asymptotic for several weeks before they start to show signs for the disease.

Are we preventing travelers from entering the country from Guinea,Sierra Leon, Liberia?
If not, are we monitoring or possibly quarantining travelers from these countries for the 21 days incubation period. An Ebola victim after contacting the virus may not show symptoms up to 21 days. The virus may not be detected until symptoms are shown. So merely screening someone and not detecting the virus does not mean they don't have it.
You will need to monitor or possibly quarantine them for at least 21 days.
Is this what the health minister is doing right now?
Not even USA can say that nonsense, because they don't have a way to detect the virus during the incubation period.
Unfortunately most of our Ghanaian leaders are ignorant and ridicule themselves in public merely by what they say

There must be at least one specialist present 24 hours in three shift rotations to supervise them. Our health system as it is presently is not the best. The situation in the countryside and rural communities is even worse.

Does Dr. Agyeman-Mensah mean that the heaps of trash and faeces, choked drai8ns and gutters everywhere in Ghana now, are the Government's prophylatic against an outbreak of Ebola in the country? Let the Health Minister talk as if he were a real trained medical officer who knows what every child in Ghana knows that that kind of grossly insanitary conditions in Ghana, has created a virtually fertile breeding ground for the Ebola virus to strike. Cholera is now in the chair; soon Ebola will take over, you bet me!

Let Mahama and all his Ministers, top Executives take the cue from India's example and declare a national month of conscientious and committed acts of cleaning. Let them dismount from their high horses, gird their loins and wield the broom, the scrubbing brush, the shovel, the wheel barrow the haulage trucks, and make the place damn spic and span.
