Using their position to abuse and usurp the law of the land with impunity; taking the law into their own hands and disrespecting the rights of individuals whether they are at fault or not (which was not established by the traffic police). The way people drive in Ghana accidents are likely to happen all the time. The police should be allowed to their jobs.

The question 'Do you know who I am?' should not come into it. If you are at fault in a motor accident what is the relevance of who you are? THIS IS BLATANT ABUSE OF POWER just like the way Vicky Hammah behaves. This is really shameful for Ghana politics

Citizen, I beg to differ with you that this is a black man's issue but rather the mentality in most developing societies where institutions of accountability are weak and power is concentrated in the ruling class. This can easily happen in Putin's Russia and most developing countries. This is not to defend this moron called Ade Coker.

The problem is that there is too much lawlessness in Ghana so these silly politicians think and believe that they are more important than all others. Who is he, deputy god?

The driver should sue Coker for illegally detaining his vehicle and claim loss of earnings for the period that the vehicle was at his house.

Another problem is that Ghana has a very weak President and unable to discipline his appointees and officials. I read of a District Chief Executive who has been incarcerated for contempt of court and a lawyer claiming that the man will go back to his post as DCE after serving the prison term, when in fact, he would not be fit for that office. I hope more of these who believe that they are above the law are disciplined by the judiciary through the rule of law.

Ade Coker is a disgrace to NDC and he is causing more harm to the party than good. In fact, he has become a liability and the earlier he is replaced the better. He is scheming and introducing rules to disqualify his opponents in order to win re-election. He is an enemy of democracy.

His unilateral action raises some very pertinent questions...who gave the right to impound someone's property, secure it in his house and then admonish the poor driver to come up with a fixed amount of money to repair the alleged damage to his Toyota Tundra? Why would he avoid calling the Police to investigate the accident and apply the appropriate assessment as to who is at fault?

This usurpation of authority that is not his by definition is a complete violation of the constitution and he should be made an example of.....

But what was strange is that two MP's, all Npp members came to Ademola Coker's defense and castigated the other driver for reporting this case to Daily Guide just because Ademola is a "big man".

Major Oduro, Npp member for Nkoranza and another Npp member from Tema East constituency, forgotten the name did not see anything wrong about what Ademola did. Politicians are all the same, they will protect each other.

This is extortion and false seizure of private property. He should be sued by the poor Joe Blo if a public interest lawyer could be found to handle this. I find it difficult to believe Ade Coker. First, he says he can't find some of the parts to repair his car and he has to import them but goes ahead to say he has repaired the car and want the guy to pay him GHc2000. I didn't know you can import car part that quick and get your car repaired that quick since the accident happened on Saturday, September 27th.

I heard Mr Danquah on the radio and his description of the accident seems to place him as the one who caused the accident but Mr Ade Coker was wrong to impound his car. This is carjacking by Ade Coker.

At the city I live in, if you are involved in an accident and there is no injury or your cars are not impeding traffic flow, the police will tell you to exchange insurance information and report the accident to your insurance companies who after getting reports from both parties can determine who was at fault and which insurance company will repair both cars.

What is strange here is Ademola Coker seizing the guy's car by assuming the guy was at fault. Even if the guy was the one at fault, Ademola Coker has no right to impound his car. In any civilized country, Ademola Coker can be criminally charged for carjacking or stealing a car.

Rape cases are on the increase in Ghana. Judges and WAJU of the Ghana police force must do more to protect our society. Some people have become so notorious of raping and getting away with it. Many believe that it is a weapon capable of scarring individuals to the very soul and seize the least opportunity to use it; using it on the families of their political or business competitors. Not even those at the higher echelons of our society must get away with it. It is said that a man paid a student to rape the daughter of his business and political competitor. The rapist got away with it.

The number of court houses and judges in Ghana are inadequate especially in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The population has ballooned and changes have to be made. The same can be said of the number of police officers and the number of penitentiaries. On a visit to a number of court houses around the country I found the Ghana flag and the Ghana Coat of Arms (Seal) absent. This must change.

The rancher said, "Okay , but don't go in that field over there.....", as he pointed out the location.
The BNI officer verbally exploded saying, " Mister, I have the authority of the Central Government with me!"
Reaching into his rear pants pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher.
"See this badge?! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish...On any land!
No questions asked or answers given!! Have I made myself clear...do you understand?!"
The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores.
A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the BNI officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull.
With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified.
The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs...

Fellow Ghanaians this is criminality and not arrogance at all. Who says an armed robber cannot drive a tundra vehicle, carjacked this innocent guy on the highway and seize his his car as he has done? What if this man goes to pick his car only to find out that the car is not there and the house does not belong to the carjacker? Did Ademola Coker, the Nigerian NDC CHIRMAN gave to the other driver his own contacts too?
Why do the NDC people drive fuel guzzling cars when we cannot even buy the crude? Is the tundra comfortable or what of it? Why drive tundra in Accra anyway? These NDC guys are so foolish and don't even have taste but wasting our resources. Personally if you give me tundra I won't take. If even you want expensive cars why don't buy the proper top of the range ones? Ei, JJ Rwalings, Atta mess and mahama have reduced the ones pride of Africa into shit. Ayigbefuo, pepefuo and Fantis you see what your stupid votes have taken Ghana too? Even Nigerians are carjacking Ghanaian cars on the motorway in the name of NDC. It is really a shame that in Ghana people in positions of authority with the ruling party see themselves as above the law. By virtue of his position as chairman, he takes the law into his own hands. The police should have dealt with him for failing to report an accident as required by law. The law enforcement agencies in Ghana see themselves as powerless when it comes to dealing with high ranking officials. Perhaps the fault was even Cokers'. Isn't it time the Police did their job properly?

I paid for the repair but the police kept the license and was extorting money from the driver since according to them they had not heard from me. Those were the issues of getting the Police involved in minor accidents. The driver in question is disingenuous with the facts and telling lies.

Ghana is not for the hopeless NDC government or the Stolen-Verdict president,John Mahama,for that matter.
Is Ade Coker Corporal Yentuah of the Police MTTU or the IGP?
Neither John Mahama nor the IGP can confiscate anybody's property as a result of what is conspicuously,an automobile accident.
All what he needed to do was to call the Police MTTU and file a complaint.Then let his insurance company know of the accident later.
The owner of the car should file a lawsuit for conversion of their property.They should not forget to ask for LOST INCOME during the period of confiscation and emotional distress,pain and suffering.
All these traces of backwardness should be uprooted from the better Ghana that the NPP will provide after 2016.The LAND GUARDS business is another sign of backwardness.
