"Talking to Ghana News Agency in an interview, Mr Ben Dotsei Malor, Head of Communications and Presidential Spokesperson said President Mahama's presence at the African Business Global Forum in the UAE rekindled the interest of the international community to make Ghana their economic hub for the African continent".

This kind of loose and nauseating cheap talk coming from this government has reached intolerable levels. This government has turned propaganda into full communication tool and policy. Are we to take the blatant lie that the mere "presence" of Mahama at the UAE forum was all that was required to make Ghana the economic hub of Africa? Ebei Malor, who are you deceiving? Sometimes, when I read about Mahama and his promises, I wonder who he is speaking for. Ghana's economy would require more than three years for the structural changes that will withstand the global economic shocks from dependency on primary exports and value added imports. He should speak for his government and not for future governments. In any case, IMF programmes have never taken any developing economy permanently out of trouble. Again, the urgent need for the government to go to the IMF was not directly from the structural problems but from irresponsible spending by Mahama's government, corruption and mismanagement. The IMF programme at best could only reduce the huge budget deficit by controlling irresponsible expenditures by government but cannot stop corruption and mismanagement.

If Mahama does not know the history of Ghana's relationship with IMF, he should read Eboe Hutchful's book entitled "The IMF and Ghana: The Confidential Report".

Oh please Mahama you talk too much and have missed the point. Ghana's economic woes is because of corruption. It has never been because Ghana needs any help from the IMF.
For far too long Ghana has been rapped by our so called leaders, and the people have not being able to get the money back. For instance how long before we get our fifty one million dollars stolen from an NDC financier Alfred Woyome?
There are people in government who created schemes to milk Ghana. I call this the rape of a nation, but Mahama is pretending as if loans will solve Ghana's problems. I tell President Mahama what will solve our problems is accountability.
Stop the NSS rot, stop the GYEEDA rot, stop the NADA's rot and stop the SUBAH's rot.
President Mahama you yourself is rotten to the core. Had the former President Mills being living, he would have had you investigated, and only God knows this to be true.
For Ghana to have a robust economy the rot in the system must be stopped else you are just pouring money into a bottomless pit.
