This is about 1/3 of Nigeria's figure with a population of more than 120 million people. Ghana does not need a new card now and system. The old one should be improve upon period.

These cards have numbers and they are used primarily for social security/pension benefits, taxes, jobs. So before we throw money at this ghcard. Let's fond out what our purposes is and who has something similar we can emulate. Perhaps, the ghcard should have a number that works for pension,social security benefits, collect taxes, act as job id #, used as id at the hospital.

This goes to confirm, the NIA has caused financial loss to the state because in their own language, "Dr. Cobbah has also urged Ghanaians to accept the new card saying the benefits far outweigh the previous cards distributed by the authority", meaning, we are replacing the old cards because they are crap!!! They should stop lying to us and come clean this is money for the elections and nothing else. A local provider has promised to deliver the same thing for less, why is he not being considered? Why are all our money going to China? Why is the Chinese imposing their will on us and controlling our national data? Have we not heard of the intellectual and economic espionage of the China's on developed countries? I am fedup with this Mahama government that has not done anything right for Ghanaians. This is a rip off and needs to stop asap.
