  This is very true. A circuit court judge in Cape Coast ruled that an unemployed husband should pay 4,000 GH cedis to a working class wife who earns higher income due to the help of the husband who has now lost his job. The judge also ruled that the husband bear all the child's school fees, clothes and remit the child with 150 GH cedes every month. Due to this rulings, the lady is now refusing the money and provisions he used give for the care of the child monthly through the help of family and friends. Now the lady insisting to get what the judge ruled. The question is should an unemployed husband steal to provide for a working class woman because he married her? Where is the justice for equal right? The West stipulated laws for family support applies to both man and woman based on their income or the one earning an income. The Ghanaian judges, some of them despicable in court rooms by their attitudes.

  Way back in September 1991,I wrote to the Editor of the Ghanaian Times about the actions of some rural magistrates and a particular one in Twifo-Praso. He openly insulted those appearing before him.
  Nobody minded me after reading it in the paper. Later when the then GBC-TV used it in their "from the paper" edition, strong-willed friends came on me to shut up!!
