We congratulate BNI for a work well done. They seem to be living up to their name now and no more a tool in the hands of a sitting government to use against its political opponents only. We very much appreciate their service to the nation now . It is now up to the judiciary to do their part.

Those guilty of the offense must be giving long jail terms to send the appropriate signal to all such criminals in the system. I think Rawlings would have sent them to their graves in the PNDC era without trial. These guys did not go to school only to become criminals, economic saboteurs and nation wreckers looting the coffers of this struggling nation.

The issue should not be politicized at all because it has nothing to with NDC, NPP or CPP; it has only to do with nation wreckers caught in the act and must be dealt with accordingly without fear or favor.

The biggest developmental challenge this country faces is how to uproot criminals, self-serving and nation wreckers masquerading as civil servants in the system. We recommend life imprisonment without parole for any of the the Directors found guilty, including the Board members, the Auditors and the Bankers.

Yes my name is Williams Zoogah and I think that the Board should be dissolved now either wise these guys could extend their investigations to the years I was there. I was the (C)Thief Accountant at the NSS from 2006 to 2010, whereupon I was forced to resign because I stood up for my share of the returns of the ghost names money. The farm project was only a ploy to steal money and we did make money proper. Yes within the short period that I was transferred from Bolga, I made billions from the NSS: I have a mansion in Adenta, a four square compound house at madina, an estate in Takoradi, 2 houses in Bolga. I had no problems resigning in 2010 because I had already set up a micro finance company in Bolgatanga. We stole the money through insertion of ghost names, use of the borehole drilling machine at the NSS plus other lucrative schemes. Now I drive around in a powerful V8. Hahaha catch me and Kuagbenu if you can!But just dissolve the Board to save some us from going to prison... pls i beg.

The other day, I read the bogus deputy minister of education trying to exonerate the NSS board: this was a way to limit the responsibility to just the NSS management so that the case does not spill over in the direction of the ministry!
In the civilized world, the cause of the rot would be traced further,and someone in higher authority would have taken responsibility long ago and probably would have advised him/herself. I propose someone be made to take responsibility, and it must be now!

If you know how corporate governance works, the president all the ministers including the deputies should resign immediately and render unqualified apology to the people. The matter is that the people gave the president the power and authority to take care and manage their resources for them. The president is the one who appointed whoever was in the helm of affairs at the NSS. If there have been embezzlement, the blame stops right at the doors of the ministers and the president.This is the reason why when you put money at the bank and a bank employee embezzles it, the bank pays you back. The reason is that your contract for the safe keeping of your money is with the bank not the employee. In the same manner the voters' contract for safe keeping of their resources is with the president. So please do not make it look like what is happening has nothing to do with the president. It has everything to do with him because he has a social contract with Ghanaians for the safe keeping of their resources. What is happening is an indictment on the president. It shows the level of responsibility or irresponsibility that the president is exhibiting in managing and guarding the resources belonging to the people who gave him the power to become the president. Mr Ablakwa therefore refrain from making a mockery of yourself, the substantive minister and the president. You are all equally guilty as those at NSS who took the money. The question is if you have not put them there they would not have had the chance to steal. If you had exhibited proper diligence and oversight over the NSS this would not have happened.

That will be a sensible thing to do. A bank manager who feels implicated and may end up serving a jail term will not cooperate. Sometimes, you need to use a thief to catch a thief. The principal objective here should be to recover the stolen money and prosecute those who were directly involved. That is why I think deals should be made with those lower down the chain. Assets should have been confiscated or frozen by now. These directors will be busy concealing their assets and I hope BNI is one step ahead of them. I am surprised some directors have been exonerated at this early stage of the investigation. Without a thorough investigation, some of them may appear innocent. Do not rush into letting any of them go. And who is implicated or exonerated should not be based only on the scant evidence collected so far.
The government should strive to retrieve the stolen money even if it means letting some of them off lightly. The board cannot and should not be part of this investigation in the interest of the benefit of the doubt.

No nation can develop by this nonsense and indiscipline the probe should be extended to all the civil service, state organizations, etc. The stealing must stop I won't be surprised that it will be revealed that more than 70% of our revenue 'the tax payers money' is lost yearly to these thieves through these type of leakages. Mahama this is an opportunity to start a revolution to leave your footprint in the history of this nation. This is a case where public officials entrusted with the resources of the nation abused their positions because they believe that investigations into their illegality would come to nought. What has this got to do with NPP or NDC.

Whilst we are waiting for the final report of BNI and from the limited information in the public domain it appears this a grand scale of collusion amongst officials and external agencies particularly the banks.
I just hope that for once we can get to the bottom of this issue.

What is important is that the culprits are brought to account.
