The economy is hitting workers hard and many have run out of ideas.

The so-called professor that tried to embellish Nkrumah's economic record needs to go back to school again. These types of socialists' arguments could deceive Ghanaians in the 50s and 60s but they cannot do that now. Nkrumah was the first leader to introduce unsustainable debt into this nation by borrowing massively and unnecessarily to finance his whims and caprices. It was a misfortune that we had such a person as president immediately after the independence. He didn't lay a realistic economic foundation for sustainable development in this country considering the amount of money that was at his disposal in those days.

Ghana had about 1bln dollars in reserve when Nkrumah took over the reins of government in this country. Can you imagine the value of one billion dollars in the early fifties? Again, after 2years of Nkrumah's rue, cocoa prices at the world market rocketed and increased fourfold. But contrary to any sound economic planning, he did not reserve any fraction of the windfall for a rainy day, as the Whiteman had done with only one fourth of the revenue he got from cocoa. So, what did he do with all that money from the astronomical cocoa prices and the big reserve he inherited that took years to build for our future financial stability and sustainable development?

Kwame Nkrumah went on a spending spree both in Ghana and around the world, throwing his weight about and talking big. So when the cocoa prices fell close to the end of his rule, he was quick to point accusing fingers at the West, blaming them for manipulating cocoa prices to sabotage the economy of Ghana and overthrow his government. Finally, after misusing all the money mainly on useless prestigious projects, communist agricultural projects, and whimsical mad-rush industrialization projects, he also burdened the young nation with another billion dollars' debt before he was forced out of this country.

The truth is that, Kwame Nkrumah met a rich country with stable economy and left it nearly bankrupt as a result of gross mismanagement and NDC is about to land us in HIPC again.

Even casual reading reveal that the IMF has jot change it's assertion on the figures given by Sajeev Gupta.
2013 is past and gone, we are at the end of 2014. How can any serious person use that as a projection?? The other truth is that since 2013 Ghana has contracted loans in excess of 3billion dollars with virtually nothing to show for it. Gupta said the BOG quoted GDP TO DEBT RATIO projection for 2015 as 60%, which he disputed and gave his figure as 71%. So where does the 2013 figure comes in??
If this is the understanding of NDC then is there any wonder, the serious trouble we find ourselves in this country?
No matter how anybody slice it, the two statements from the IMF does not match. This has nothing to do with NPP . It's rather people like the writer and his NDC cohorts who are lying through their teeth.

We brought in the NPP in 2001 and they almost killed us with extreme hardships. Next, we changed and brought the NDC. It's even become worst. What shows the NPP will not make it even more unbearable if voted for?

Until the NPP tells us HOW they will do things differently to improve lives, voting for them will be another waste of state monies. Democracy is just stupid for developing nations.

Even in the full glare of facts, they still try to submerge the facts instead of keeping their quite and allowing our so-call savior (IMF/WB)to bail us out from the shackles of the mass poverty and malnutrition they have plunged the nation into, they still continue to make noise over the discovery of the packages of lies and lack of competence they presented to the Breton Woods Institute. What even annoys many is their consistent attempt to argue and to justify their incompetence. And who are even the authors of these so-called articles or stories? If the so-called NPP had not come out and many other pressure groups to pressurize on the gov't. to fix the economy, where would we be by now? A body of corrupt membership seeking to legalize corruption with simple arguments... What legacy are you so-called leaders leaving for our dear nation Ghana? I hope NDC will be happy and reward the NIB and the pressure groups who have helped to turn the ruins of the state around. What do you expect when the NPP continously make evil public imaginative accusations that the NDC is manipulating figures with a goal of drawing the IMF to accuse the Mahama government? That is what the IMF did.

Ghana's fiscal year starts in January and ends in December. 2014 fiscal year is almost over. We are in the process of preparing our next budget to start in January and end in December 2015.
Now IMF is saying is that from the current economic baseline our debt – to GDP ratio by December 2015, will be 71% which is a failed state or HIPC. Tekper is saying that it is true but as at December 2014 (2 months from now) it will be less. So what is the difference between what IMF saying and what Tekper is saying? The same story. IMF is referring to 2015 (a projection which is the basis of budgeting and Tekper is referring to the immediate past by Tekper).
The unsavory projection is the reason Ghana has gone to the IMF so that we don’t fall into HIPC and become a failed state in December 2015. Who went to whom? Is it IMF to Ghana or Ghana to IMF? Have we bothered to ask why the government went to IMF? IMF is the Bretton Wood institute mandated to save failing states, just as the WB to support development.
What is difficult about this to understand? What is NPP or NDC about this? The fact is the country is being run down and by 2015 we will end up being in HIPC and we want IMF planning, budgeting, monitoring to save the situation.

If Ghanaians should be realistic about the typical character of an average Ashanti man in any area of life they can easily say that the action of the NPP Ashanti man from Obuasi is a actual proof of their daily behavior especially in anything politics.

It is unfortunate that in politics, the NPP Ashanti population had misunderstood the definition of our daily politics.

Politics is defined as an art or science of managing and buildimg a nation, therefore there is a need to display unity in every national political issues which may be in the interest of our nation.

If there may be any doubts by any opposing political party/parties over any issue then there should be serious investigation behind close doors before any public comments is made just because of our national interest.
