  They either died from fatigue or dehydration, not natural causes. During Hajj, the pilgrims walk for miles and miles from Mecca to Medina and back, and climb Mt. Arafat. It is a physically demanding task and these old folks unfortunately succumbed to the hardships they faced.

  Does God answer the prayer or a wish for peace (PBUH) for the dead? (No, God will never contradict his own word.) Observe:
  
  "For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun."
  Ecclesiastes 9:5-6.
  
  What does God expect the living to do? Will worshiping and following an amoral (absence of morals) god (such as those of eastern religions) do? (No.)
  
  "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.
  
  The living has an appointment with the grave, and he will keep the appointment and stay asleep until a change comes.
  
  "O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands." Job 14:13-15.
  
  God keeps accurate records of all that we do in a book. Beside the name of every person who has met the righteous demand of the law through the merits of his grace, God will fix his destiny: heaven bound. This happens because the person's personal probation on earth has closed by death. All the others are judged by God's people in heaven (1 Corinthians 6:2). Sad to say, those who will be judged by resurrected brethren in heaven will be the wicked: the hell- bound people.
  
  "My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity." Job 14:17.
