It is on the dice that a well educated society will not allow pöoliticians to take us for a ride. A well educated society will not condone thievery and corruption by politicians.

A well educated society will confront and not be oblivious to corrupt and visionless politicians.

Nduom, why do you think Kwame Nkrumah introduced free education to all Ghanaians? See Nkrumah died penniless, corrupt free. Education will enlighten the masses and that doesn't bode well for the thieving elites. That is the reason for them not acting. Ghanaina are hypocrites, coruppt and dishonest people but run to the church after the thievery. What a nation!

When Kwame Nkrumah made education free and compulsory in Ghana in the early 60's so that farmers, fishermen laboures etc could send their wards to school, Mate Meho rumours made rounds that children were reporting their parents. The Ghana Young Pioneer got all the blame for youth trying to gain education. Malala has vindicated Kwame Nkrumah with her noble prize. Free and compulsory Education for all.

When April didn't stir, little Johnny, a boy seated in the chair behind her, took a pin and jabbed her in the rear. "GOD ALMIGHTY!" shouted April and the teacher said, "Very good" and April fell back asleep. The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.

Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.

Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.

Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

The truth hurts sometimes. But Rawlings, Kufuor, Mills and now Mahama plus Akufo-Addo talk plenty but do not care about educating all Ghanaian children so they will not deal with compulsory education. Kudos to Nduom
