Books are written about leaders all over the world and academicians do not need the blessings of those individuals for their approval. For example, there are a lot of books depicting George Bush as a liar and murderer for invading Iraq. I don't think George Bush sees himself as a liar or murderer. Rawlings as we all know, except if you were born in the 1980s, is a liar, murderer, dictator, greedy, and useless president. He would never agree to any of these so by the professor asking for his blessings before publication makes the book less credible. The prof must present his side of Rawlings and let another person come up with counter argument for Rawlings. Rawlings like George Bush can say whatever they want about themselves others see them differently.

Is he afraid he'll be charged with a salacious lie or misinformation? As for Rawlings,I can see why he's pulling all the strings to delay delay and delay.A lot of evil occurred under his nineteen years' reign.We all are aware of his success in inserting the indemnity clause in our Constitution that gets him and his cohorts off the hook.
I'll say,Prof,if you have nothing to fear or hide then go ahead and have your book published.Two years is a long time for even a class one student to proof-read a book,you think?
