From primary to secondary boarding house it was common knowledge that girls especially had ' supies' and did stuff in 'tents' at dormitories. This applied to mix,boys and girls schools. It was underground because of the fear from society, teachers and parents. It's been around as far as the corruption in Ghananian politics and society. The fact that our society shuns on same sex relationship doesn't mean it's not previlant. Yes democracy, social media/technology and our strong desire for western culture has allowed people to slowly come out of this fears.

This "genetic concept" of homosexuality is just a political gimmick that some influential people in the Western world are trying to shove into our throats. I am a licensed Counseling-psychologist practicing in Bethesda, MD, and l can tell you that even though the DSM 5, for political reasons, try to advocate for the genetic concept of homosexuality, most of us in the mental health field still know otherwise. If gayism is accepted as inheritance from genetics, then what do we do about kleptomania, OCD, ADHD, and other mental health issues? If these other mental health issues are seen as problematic and are treatable, why do we naively accept the porous argument for gayism? As a professional Counselor, l still maintain that these people are mentally sick and need help. Period!
