After Mills found Betty Moulds guilty of judgement debt payments the only thing he could do was to move her to the Education dept to continue her looting. Readers would recall that Betty Mounds was the one who awarded SCHOOL building contracts at a triple price of the existing contract sum of some GH 80,000.00. And this happened at a time when they claim inflation was in the single digits. Could you imargin how foolish these criminal liars were. Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one
by contracting Togolese Trokosis, Burkinabe and Wangaras from La Cote D'ivoire to vote for them, the " Road To Kigare", is sometimes, a likely option to kick their ass from power.

The so-called professor that tried to embellish Nkrumah's economic record needs to go to school again. These types of socialists' arguments could deceive Ghanaians in the 50s and 60s but they cannot do so now. Nkrumah was the first leader to introduce unsustainable debt into this nation by borrowing massively and unnecessarily to finance his whims and caprices. It was a misfortune that we had such a person as president immediately after the independence. He didn't lay a realistic economic foundation for sustainable development in this country considering the amount of money that was at his disposal in those days.

Ghana had about 1bln dollars in reserve when Nkrumah took over the reins of government in this country. Can you imagine the value of one billion dollars in the early fifties? Again, after 2years of Nkrumah's rule, cocoa prices at the world market rocketed and increased four-fold. But contrary to any sound economic planning, he did not reserve a fraction of the windfall for a rainy day, as the Whiteman had done with only one fourth of the revenue he got from cocoa. So, apart from revenues from gold and other natural resources, what did he do with all the money from the astronomical cocoa prices and the big reserve he inherited that took many years to build for our financial stability and sustainable development?

Kwame Nkrumah went on a spending spree both in Ghana and around the world, throwing his weight about and talking big. So when the cocoa prices fell close to the end of his rule, he was quick to point accusing fingers at the West, blaming them for manipulating cocoa prices to sabotage the economy of Ghana and overthrow his government. Finally, after misusing all the money mainly on prestigious projects, failed communist agricultural projects and whimsical mad-rush industrialization projects that did not withstand the test of time, he also burdened the young nation with another billion dollars' debt before he was forced out of the country.

The truth is that, Kwame Nkrumah met a rich confident country with stable economy, and left it nearly bankrupt in few years as a result of gross mismanagement. NDC is recklessly following suit to land our nation again in HIPC.

If you consider with "no", ask your self why NDC brought the country to the IMF for bailout? If "yes" the country is broke, why are you insulting the professor?

The space , money and resources he continues to encumber could have been used to train more Engineers, Doctors and Pharmacists. Yet he sees nothing wrong in his back yard but has of late been surreptitiously and cunningly lobbying for a position should NPP win power in 2016. No serious politician will take notice of this man who has yet to tell us what alternatives he has apart from his constant complaints. Take note, Prof, that until people like you are kicked out of KNUST to make way for the training if hands-on scientists, engineers, Doctors and people with the capacity and ingenuity to create jobs, our lamentations will be in vain. Whether the pension money has been tampered with or not, or whether it is managed by the govrnment or workers, what should matter to the ordinary worker is, whether the workers who go on retirement get their pension benefits paid them or not. The pension money is meant for the payment of workers who go on retirement, their pension benefits.

The economy didn't turn down over the night; it’s a combination of a lot of different things and it mainly started with the corrupted Nation of Primitive People Kuffor gov and pushed off the cliff by NPP sponsored 9 months election petition when the whole country stopped working by watching TV set. Where on this earth that can happen? No country can afford that whether a developed/underdeveloped. But, with their selfishness and ego seeking manner, NPP, Akufo Addo and the poor performer Bawumia pushed mother Gh into this situation, hiding behind and pointing at Mahama gov. NDC and Mahama have a good point for next election campaign but they also are ignorant/afraid to raise it.
I have a question for these so called Nation of Primitive People intellectuals including this Amoako & Bawumia: How much the 9 months of election petition caused mother Gh in term of productivity, GDP, Cedi fall . . . . . brief in term of all the economy indices? They have used Gh treasury to attend prestigious schools & universities abroad, they need to be recognizant to Gh by telling the truth.
