Ghana is changing fast. The Ewes are increasing in size and education, the northerners are also multiplying.

If we do not change and tell these Akyem mafias to get off our backs and learn to settle within the hegemony of a greater good for Ghana, there will come a time when we will be out- numbered and I fear our children will suffer for our past misdeeds.

Our past can be forgiven but we have to change first.

Stop trusting these Akyems. They aligned with the Akwamus, Fantis, Gas and even till now Colonialists just to get their interest.

Imagine, they turned you against your own Son, Alan Kyerematen even when signs were that he could have been the bridge between Ewes and Ashantis at long last.

What can't they do? This is not an alliance of equals but one of opportunism. It is wrong and bad for future Ashantis.

Hey my people, you can do better, don't be deceived. We brought down the might Denkyira with wisdom and great tact. Where has these virtues gone.

Dear Daily Post, could you remember that Rawlings used the TUC and its workers as a launch pad to overthrow the government of Liman fraudulently? Could you also remember that he used to take 'Kenkey' to Legon to demonstrate how the size had shrunk under Liman, and we ended up with the "Rawlings' Chain" in his regime but nobody could talk? And could you also remember that Nkrumah used to incite workers to strike against the Whiteman and later on outlawed strikes and said they were unpatriotic in his regime when the economic situation was genuinely difficult for workers?

I don't believe NPP is behind the present wave of strikes. However, if the allegations are perceived to be true, then they are surely not doing so to overthrow any regime unlawfully. They may be highlighting the failings and excesses of the NDC government, hopping that it would translate into votes for the party in the next elections. And that is in fact, a genuine politics. Everybody in Ghana knows that cost of living under the NDC government is unbearable, and NPP could be seizing the opportunity to convince Ghanaians not to vote for the party in the next elections. Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with highlighting the failings of an incapable government in order to wrestle power from it democratically. NDC government is the cause of these strikes because of corruption, over spending and mismanagement of the economy that have brought untold hardship on Ghanaians.

Moreover, the monies collected from workers have virtually disappeared, and that Thomson guy at SSNIT is not to be trusted. He is a vampire, and his brother is the other Thomson that was at STC as CEO of the company, and has been removed this year by its workers for pension funds and other wrongdoings. Until the "Big" Thomson at SSNIT is also removed, the extent of the damage done to workers' pensions in this country will never be known. SSNIT is bankrupt and the monies have been misused.

The only lasting solution to this impasse is to send BNI to SSNIT to investigate and unearth the stinking rot kept in their big cupboards. What BNI will find will send every Ghanaian into the street calling for "blood to flow". Unfortunately, the government itself seems to have a hand in the malfeasance, and that is a potential impediment that workers would have to face.

You have stolen the workers money, you cannot account for it, bring the money, it has become a huge problem, and instead of finding something sensible to say to the workers, the NDC gov't is engaging in propaganda. It was this same thing they did, this reckless and crass propaganda whilst looting all the funds in the national purse, including that of the workers tier-two pension funds, which cannot be accounted for.
As if that was not enough, when the loss at the polls was imminent, over a staggering amount of $5billion dollars was looted again, after all the looting and thievery prior, within the last 2 months of 2012, and the consequences of the thievery is what is facing them today.
Ghanaian workers are saying, the Mahama led NDC gov't has looted their funds, by virtue of the fact that, they cannot account for the tier-two pension funds. The Mahama NDC gov't should go and bring the looted tier-two pension funds and transfer it as required by law, to the fund and scheme managers of the choice of Ghanaian workers. Bring the looted tier-two pension funds and transfer it.

First of all,i do NOT believe that there is any money being kept "in the vault" of the Bank of Ghana earmarked for the workers' pension.Because,according to the labor minister,he just instructed the Bank of Ghana and the Controller and Accountant-General to COMPUTE the 5% reduction for the second-tier payments.
Akufo-Addo cannot access the pension funds for his political campaign.
There is nothing wrong for the workers to hire attorneys from the Akufo-Addo firm if the search for brilliant lawyers pointed to that law firm.
