Rape cases are on the increase in Ghana. Judges and WAJU of the Ghana police force must do more to protect our society. Some people have become so notorious of raping and getting away with it. Many believe that it is a weapon capable of scarring individuals to the very soul and seize the least opportunity to use it; using it on the families of their political or business competitors. Not even those at the higher echelons of our society must get away with it. It is said that a man paid a student to rape the daughter of his business and political competitor. The rapist got away with it.

The number of court houses and judges in Ghana are inadequate especially in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The population has ballooned and changes have to be made. The same can be said of the number of police officers and the number of penitentiaries. On a visit to a number of court houses around the country I found the Ghana flag and the Ghana Coat of Arms (Seal) absent. This must change.

With a crime like this do you think they would stay at home. Ghana Police that we were proud of you and boasting about you as compared with other forces in other countries. What has come of you. Money is eating into the service. Is IGP listening. This should not take few days if not few hours to arrest them. Sometimes we compare ourselves with the advanced countries. This would take few hours to arrest them. IGP the officer in charge of that area must be accused of not doing his work. If we don't apportion blame snd look on like this we will not all be safe. In such cases the media would not follow it again and we would not hear of it again. We lack journalist who would come forward and fight for the downtrodden. In such cases somebody should have interest in it and report everyday about it for the public to know the situation report. Then we would know the media is helping. It would also help us to know if the police are doing their work. The culptits can't run for life. To those who are shield them are also causing an offense. Anybody found must be dealt them. The Police must force discipline into the society. For disciplne to be enforced the police must also be disciplined. Ghana we know for a fact that for some years past you were so discipline that people revered you. Is it there today? It is a shame that people boast of the police in their hands. IGP, please redeem your image.
