I for one, I would not wish that my son would marry the daughter of such a despicable person to bring forth into this world children who would by marriage, be grandsons of a criminal.

We can all also choose to steal to take a short-cut to success in life but it is the unpleasant distant and irreparable consequences that should prevent us all from such unsociable acts.

Look at this girl. By all standards she is a very pretty girl who has to live and suffer the consequences of the misdeeds of her father.

Indeed, Victor Selormey paid for crimes against the national purse, after siphoning taxpayer funds in the Quality Grain scandal, in which a staggering amount of $20million dollars of taxpayer funds, was lost to the state.
The statement she made and I quote “it hurts when you think about the things they put him through and what is happening now, but one cannot dwell on the bitter experience always, I’ve moved on” she added, is very much flawed from every angle one chooses to look at it.
This is because he caused financial loss to the state and was duly canned.
The issue of what is happening now, is that wanton looting and thievery of taxpayer funds is going on in all it's gory glory akin to mass murder(apologies to JDM), and it would be the height of a dead conscience, not to see such crass looting and thievery happening under the noses of beneficiaries of cooked and massaged figures of the Ghanaian economy, and in due course, those who have arrogated to themselves the right to loot, and to wreck maddening havoc on the finances of the state, would answer.
One would have loved to see, the daughter of Victor Selormey speaking against such wanton thievery and looting of the members of his father's party, that led to his eventual stint in the cooler, because of what she had to go through from the trauma of such a disgrace, and not to seek to court public sympathy, and public opprobrium for those who per the mandate entrusted to them by the masses, held him accountable for the looting, for which her father was duly canned. It would be a beauty to see her good self, advicing members of her father's party about the consequences of such malfeasance, because she has a personal experience.
At the end of the day, no politician or technocrat should have the inherent right to loot funds, and feel that the hard work of the cocoa farmer which brings badly needed funds to develop the country, can comfortably sit somewhere cook and massage the figures, and expect to think it's ok.
You loot, you answer, you don't loot, you don't answer, so Victor Selormey's daughter should grasp that concept, and Ghana would move forward for anybody who demonstrates the ability to do so, so the daughter of that farmer in Kete Krachi, can also attend Holy Child and also attend Spelman College, and the New England Conservatory.
