Can you realise the torment and the trauma? If you are a thief yourself, then repent today to avoid the jail term. If you want to steal without being punished, then go and be a politician, period.

Armed robbery is no minor crime though the sentence is too much, taking into consideration his age. 20 years would have been good because he will come back looking like 90 years.

OMG! what has become of Ghana? It is time parliament passes some harsh bye-laws on armed robbery. Besides the newspaper coverage, the Ghana police should collect photos of all convicted robbers and display at all District police stations .At least, once every year, a fair should be organized in every district so that the people can view these photos. This will deter the prospective robbers in a way. This will help Ghana to fight crime at this crucial moment. Freedom of speech.

Who in this world has never committed to a crime or sin before.. this wicked and heart less judge has ruined and messed up the poor future of this boy all in the name of being just...at least 5 years would have been ok ..such a poor fellow. You're right but that appears to be the only way elements in society would be discouraged from perpetrating such aggressive robberies. They are not robbing because they are hungry but to maintain their hightime girlfriends.
