CUSTOMS' collection alone, if done competently, can improve by as much as 25% to 30% in only ONE YEAR. That will be enough to cover the shortfall in Government Finances.

We have done the STUDIES and the MATH and we know what we are talking about.

We are NOT looking for a job. We are ready to share with Government how this can be done.

Government's present POSTURE of refusing to engage certain qualified and Proven and Tested Ghanaians, who can get the Job done, to PLEASE those who steal from the State to fund Political Activities, will in the long run prove to be UNWISE.

Customs is a multi BILLION DOLLAR Institution that requires very TESTED and SEASONED and DEDICATED and EXPERIENCED and QUALIFIED Hands. These are QUALITIES that will not be found with a TASK FORCE put together NOT by Competence but rather by connection.

The President's brother's Multi-Million Dollar Company is run by Competent Engineers and Planners. BUT he thinks CUSTOMS, an Institution several times bigger than any company in Ghana, must be managed any how just as inviting friends to play in a game or at a CONCERT?

Ghanaians, we still have time to reverse some of these trends, but SADLY and typical of our Men in Authority, NO BODY is LISTENING.

We wrote the other day that the New Patriotic Party love the International Monetory Fund to much that its members were happy when Jerry John Rawlings took the country to the Breton Woods Institutions in 1984. The record is there for everyone to see that it was only leftist elements who were opposed to the Structural Adjustment who were arrested during that period. Then current executives of the New Patriotic Party were in the civil and public sector.
It is on record that when NPP refused to attend the Senche forum on the economy they quickly come to tell the Ghanaian public that the best this country can do to resolve her economic challenges is to go to the IMF. Some think cup institutions like IMANI quickly joined the fray also calling on Mahama to go to the IMF and other Breton Woods Institutions for bail out. We wrote then that NPP has no solutions to this country's economic challenges and what it can do is only to criticize, but not to offer solutions.
These people said that John Mahama need to pay attention to the Breton Woods Institutions. Thus how can they blame him of not paying attention to what Ghanaians are saying. He is doing what the opposition NPP said and NPP members are Ghanaians.
