I agree with Justice Emile Short that the language used by GBA was inappropriate but at the same time, it is true that Afari Gyan's credibility was dented and the image of the Electoral Commission tarnished by what was revealed at the SC Presidential Petition hearing. If Afari Gyan could not define over-voting then why is he the Electoral Commissioner?

The GBA erred to have suggested the appointment of a new EC in advance when the existing one retires in 2015. That is against the constitution and it's sad that those who should be defending the constitution sought to undermine it. I hope they have learnt a lesson from this misguided and uncalled action.

After six years in office with high commodity prices including oil, and after recklessly borrowing to the tune of about 60% of the GDP or more, forcing the Cedi to depreciate to about 40% of its value in few months and rushing to the IMF for a bail out, the NDC government is now propagating deceitfully that it is looking for ways to reduce Ghana's import bill on rice, sugar, tomatoes, among other items, by encouraging the production of those commodities locally. Do you think these guys are sincere and realistic when they have only two years left in office? This is a priority that should have been started since 2009, but they said they are still looking for ways to start it next year or so.

In order to prove that this is also not part of the NDC propaganda, let the ministry come out with a complete list of the location of all the 50 new schools that were launched by the president some time ago, as well as the locations of the current 23 so that Ghanaians can check them out for themselves.
To crown their stupidity with insult and impunity, listen to that foolish boy with sharp teeth bringing in the sanitary pad issues again! They are bent on muddying the waters with these difficult to monitor claims now so that in future when they are called to account for their wastage, which will surely come to pass one day, they will point to such things as accounting for the missing chunks of the funds.
After all the hoollabaloo about these sanitary pads had died down, what one would have expected from a listening and sane government was that the matter would be left to die its natural death; but not Mahama and his gang of nation wreckers. We promise them that as long as they will not curtail their diabolical plans to milk Ghana dry, we will also not give them any peace even when they are gone to be with Mills!

Ghanaians should also be looking out for another 50SHS's in 2015, and another 50SHS's in 2016, so that ending 2016, when the Mahama NDC gov't is leaving office, Ghana should have 223SHS's dotted around the whole country.
So far, the 50SHS's in 2013 is nowhere to be found. We are still looking out for the 73SHS's by Dec; 2014.
Failure to smell, see, touch any 223SHS's in 2016, hammer the Mahama NDC gov't into a pulp, and boot them out massively, at he ballot box, and Ghanaians should not accept any excuses, beacsue propaganda and deceit cannot develop a nation.

You must pay the teachers good remuneration to motivate them to perform.Periodic renewal of teaching licenses will put them on their toes and inspire continuing education for the acquisition of current teaching methods.You cannot beat your chests until the BECE failings are radically reduced to normal percentages.
The reason the private SHS are performing wonderfully is the remuneration factor.The teachers are highly motivated to perform in an excellent fashion.You can stop the stealing in the schools and use the money to motivate the teachers.

what region? And what "very scientific process" would be used to identify and support them?

And where are these underserved areas, and who are these specially trained teachers who will work in these underserved areas, would they be paid more?

And what is the nature of the science and mathematics that would be taught to improve the secondary education?

Alhaji Suhuyini of Radio Gold should have asked the Deputy Minister tough questions for him to reveal the nitty gritty of this Secondary Education Improvement Project, as it stands we are still in the dark about Mahama's package.
