It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

How many times have people in NDC accused Addo as TOO OLD to be president, yet they cannot tell the ages of Mandela and Reagan when they came to power. Such people do not even know the achievement of such great people. Who brought peace between Whites and Blacks in South Africa? Who caused the Berlin Wall to be broken, giving way to European integration? Mahama's government is suffering because some people surrounding him that served in Mills' admn too were not groomed politicians. Some were just student leaders and Mills' students. Running a country is not like students' politics. The square pegs in round holes has led Ghana into the mess we find ourselves now. I am glad Gbagbin has realized that old age does not mean one cannot rule.

Has he forgotten that as the Minister for Health he had to transfer young Anzagra from the Wa Regional Hospital so that the later would be unable to contest the Parliamentary primaries? His own cousin, late Dr, Banka was transferred from the UWR to the VR because of differences over chieftaincy claims. Twaa!

You may talk for yourself but not the "entire upper west region" of which he does not represent in the first place and you have not conducted any survey to arrive at that infantile conclusion. Bagnin is a life time parliamentarian for Nadowli constituent. He can only resign this position whenever he deemed it necessary. There is no one who can lusciously and sardonically get him out through the ballet box. I am not on any egocentric foibles trip but the pure truth.
The only person who could have beaten him through the ballet box is DR.Debagah who is a professor at UDS campus Wa. But for some shrunken and disjointed reasons he left the party and became independent candidate. I have this feeling, I might be politically wrong, if he organize his forces well and stand as an independent candidate, he stance a better chance of beating Bagbin. I love both guys but I think uncle Bagbin should consider passing torch to this man. For the benefit of Nadowli constituency. Any other person, they will nauseated and start casting all kind of demisable shadows.
