Can someone please enlighten me on the key challenges hindering the effective delivery of education????
In my opinion it is the brainwash, suppressive colonialists education system that we have in place is what has kept us in the doldrums for centuries...... that no HUMAN in the continent of ours, can realize it's NOT working for us???
We can twist it, turn it upside down, propose, select count etc., ect. For as long as we are doing the same fruitless thing taht continue to breed ZOMBIES.....Nothing wil change for the effective delivery of
education, here in Ghana!
Our understanding of ‘Education’ is all about perfecting other peoples ‘powerful tools’ (language) based on collecting knowledge without the basic understanding of its origins and values. It is all about aping other humans’ lifestyles, totally contrary to our cultural heritage and good traditional beliefs.
The worst of it all is that, everything is done without any practical aspects to the implementation of the theoretical side of this system of education.
So, my question is…..why do we seem surprised with the results of failure in everything we do in this our society? Can’t we think to realize that our whole approach is wrong?????
Our so-called ‘Education’ system is deeply-rooted i n the concept of reading a in book (in someone else’s language), memorizing it again, again and again, regurgitating it out of the ‘memory box’ (that is, if one has one) unto an exam paper, get good grades and eventually attain a degree/masters and forget everything after the process.
Another sequence for this kind of education system is called – ‘chew’, ‘pour’, ‘pass’ and ‘forget’ – which gives no room for any form of analytical thinking.
Ghanaians!!!! Please look closely at the professionals we've bred for centuries and tell me why we continue to live in FILTH! FILTH! FILTH!
If English was the only way to our development as a nation, why on earth do we bring in the Chinese who speak no word of English to our shores to carry out projects for us?????
Don't we have so-called educated folks in our country??? We have discarded who we really are and embarking to be others we can NEVER be! That is is the sad plight of ours...........................
GOD BLESS GHANA!
AFRICAN FOREVER!
