I remember when AB was minority leader or so in parliament he proposed a flat monthly compensation package of U$4,000 for all MPs to include housing and transportation allowance but it was turned down. His reasoning was that when one calculates all the perks and allowances given to MPs it averaged over $6,000 per month. MPs were not vacating the Sakumo flats after being voted out of parliament and the then govt was wasting monies on both outgoing and incoming parliamentarians. It is the responsibility of all Ghanaians to hold all elected officials and govt appointees accountable.

We voted for guys to be transparent and honest so that the national cake will be shared in a way that the proverty will be reduced, we voted for guys because all us cannot be politicians, we vote for you guys not because you guys are not intelligent than most Ghanaians no, because we think you guys qualify for the job to be done in a proper way so that the wealth of the nation be circle in a way every Ghanaian will feel comfort. We vote for guys because we think you guys knows our problems and familiar with the problems than any other person on these planet earth. We vote for politicians to create jobs with Ghana resources we have as Ghanaians so that the crime will be reduced, the poverty will be reduced, the illetracy will be reduced, every Ghanaian will get access to hospital , good drinking water, electricity , transport because the state cannot afford 4x4 for all of us. But when you politicians get our power to the top you forget your mandate and overpower us as lords. All you do care then is create and loots instead of create and share and that is our problem. Because there's no transparen and honesty from the top to the toe we at the bottom will definitely treasure falsehood. Where is Ghana drill ship. What went wrong in the 50th Ghana independence anniversary ? Ghanatelecom, SADA ,GYEEDA and the latest developments at GNPC? No Ghanaian are not mad to think of Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Algeria or Burkina-Foso, no Ghanaians were not brought up that way despite that we treasure falsehood we are peace loving people. It's rather unfortunate the politicians have taten our Liliency for a ride and all these uprising in Ghana is long over due, because both the NPP/NDC are not fit for any perporse. The recent court case filed against the government in power about the Atuabo port and the smear flying over everywhere whom do we have to trust?
After all JJ Rawlings took it upon his shoulder but he could not fix it so the masses is over due. Sir we are all Ghabaians but how do feel whenever you travel to the north your constituency? I'm asking not to disrespect but as a concern Ghanaian, and I'm asking because of SADA,GYEEDA and because of the iron ore exploitation in the Sheinie hills as a parliamentarian you may know better than Ghanaians and that is why we treasure falsehood.
