The president said more than once that he had tried to introduce electronic payment system and acquisition into the public sector to reduce human contact with cash in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

The question Ghanaians ask is that is the president really serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an attempt, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling nation? Why would Ghanaians hire a president that cannot introduce an electronic system into the public sector to save our nation from criminals masquerading as civil servants in the system? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us.

Any Burkinabee-syle revolution will have to start from the parliament. It is so hopeless that any executive in this country can easily manipulate it to become a dictator. The parliament in its present state is part of the problem. Imagine if someone had not blown the whistle about the$700mlillion dubious loan, how would we ever known if the amount was squandered?

Surely, we are still not hearing the whole story, and many never hear exactly how the amount would be spent otherwise; GNPC would have hurriedly approached the parliament for approval if the massaged defense was true. Why didn't they do the right thing if they had nothing to hide?

This whole story smells like a stinking rot and corruption and Ghanaians and their so-called representatives must be alert and make sure that the amount is used for the intended purposes and not diverted to the accounts of politicians and their cronies at GNPC.

I noticed that the gyeeda trial too someone got paid millions just for doing a little administrative work for a loan, with the woyome trial too, the issue is not about the size of the 52m paid for the assumed work but whether he had a contract, so if he had a contract, would the 52m have been ok?
We can surely train civil servants to perform these functions and stop paying these huge amounts. I am not too worried at the moment about the 90m as it will be very easy to trace,. Whether Mahama will retrieve the money is another matter
