As crude oil prices at the world market have fallen, government's target on receipts from oil exports will fall short, hence the government struggle to make good of the difference.This is why GNPA is not reducing the prices at the pumps in line with the fallen prices. A reduction in both export prices and at the pumps will be "Double Salansa" for the government. Ghanaians should probably stop thinking that oil discovery is going to make their lives better. Especially, when the government consumes the eggs before they are hatched and when you are not getting the ripple effects of oil resulting from refinery by-products etc. Advance countries are manufacturing low fuel consumption cars. Many more countries are drilling more oil than ever.

The Ex-President Kufuor gave out the OIL find for FREE; it costs much more to 'pump' the Oil than the revenue from the sale. Basically, Ghana is subsidizing the Oil sale by the high cost at the filling stations as the Ex-President and his family are resting comfortably.
Kufuor made an healthy 'return' in the range between $200 - $400 mil. by giving away the Oil Find.
The ex-President had desires to live BIG but he got caught, and his wings went into a similar mood, got CLIPPED. Stop blaming JDM on the curses; he's in a process of turning things around if we'll all made some sacrifices. JDM if not happy at the economic situatios, and he fills our pains and had to bite the bullet; suspend all benefits enjoy by parliamentarians, perhaps walk it back 2012 level.

466 is the light using dirty faith base system of ruling; lying to the whole wide world for a war that shouldn't be. The light was impersonating the savior of his freedom across the globe using different methods against the Original Lord Savior way. Either my way or you are against me. This was a foolish statement he could made.It takes an absolute power to say things like that in global issues.

Since a barrel of crude oil has fallen from $100 to $78 one would expect that the Ghanaian government would reduce the per gallon price of gasoline. Could it be that the price of refining the oil in Ghana entails a higher cost and that's why the price of gas still remains high and not an attempt at price-gouging as claimed by concerned Ghanaians in London. Just because they live in UK doesn't mean that they're knowledgeable in everything that's happening in the west and therefore, can make unnecessary demands on the government to act against it own interest.
