How to stop Corruption
1. Corruption Sensitivity Training: Educate the executives(attorney general, the judges, public officials, immigration, police officers)about the short, long term effects and impacts of corruption. Corruption Sensitivity Training should be a mandatory part of interview process, class, testing requirement for all ministers and public sector officials. Make them aware of the consequences and have them sign off on this. If judges, police officers, employees are educated and made to understand the explicit and implicit impacts of corruption and how it affects their own salaries, bonuses etc. Things will change!
2. Enforce the Law: Offenders must face jail time, tickets/fines, sell assets to payback what has been stolen, name and shame offenders in media
3. Put ethical persons in positions of power
4.NPP: Narcotic Peddlers Party
5.NDC: Niggas Deep in Corruption

THOSE OF US WHO DIRECTLY BENEFITED FROM HIS RULE, ESPECIALLY ENJOYING FREE EDUCATION FROM PRIMARY CLASS ONE TO UNIVERSITY, WE SHALL ALWAYS WORSHIP NKRUMAH.
THERE IS A MULTIPLIER EFFECT BECAUSE THE BENEFITS WE ENJOYED FROM NKRUMAH ARE BEING PASSED ON TO OUR CHILDREN, OUR CHILDREN WILL PASS THEM ON TO OUR GRAND CHILDREN AND THE PASSING ON WILL CONTINUE IN PERPETUITY.
NKRUMAH NEVER DIES.

The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.
Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.
Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.
Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

More than 90 per cent of the leadership of China are scientists, the Ethiopian government has directed the country's armed forces to recruit women and men with science education. Hence the country now produces drones and engaged in the massive construction of railways across the country. Where are we in Ghana? Dr. Chambas is right, hope the political party leaders are reading and understanding the importance of science and technology like Kwame Nkrumah did.

There is a deliberate Ghana Government policy to suppress anything science and technology. I know somebody with Technician II cert working with the GES and teaching Intro Tech at the JHS. Intro Tech is a subject at the JHS level which is a no go area for most trained and university graduate teachers. The person later went for Technician III exam and passed with flying colours. He later presented his certificate to the GES and do you know what they told him. He was simply told we don't know where to place you. Now the guy is cursing the day he opted for technical education.

Spot on, Chambo. That's the truth that needs to be drummed into the ears of education policy makers at all levels so we can re-order our priorities, set new goals and re-invest in this vital sector of the economy and human development. We've got to stop paying lip service to 21st century new realities in education and put our money where our mouth is. Catching up with avant gardists of 21st century science and technology education will not be fun and the time to begin is now.

MR. CHAMBAS, YOU SPOKE THE TRUTH, BUT SPEAKING IS NOT ENOUGH. AFRICA IS LACKING BEHIND AND THE REASON IS NOT FAR FETCHED. AFRICA AND GHANA SPECIFICALLY, DOES NOT NEED TO INVENT THE WHEEL. ALL THAT WE NEED IS TO COPY, BUY THE PATENTS AND BUY THE MACHINERY AND WE WILL BE IN BUSINESS. I AM OR WAS NO LONGER IN THAT FIELD BUT JUST AS AN EXAMPLE, IF ONE IS TRAINED AS A LAND SURVEYOR, HE OR SHE NEEDS THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENTS TO WORK. IF THEY CANNOT GET THESE EQUIPMENTS, HIS/HER EDUCATION WOULD NOT BE BENEFICIAL NEITHER TO HIM NOR THE NATION AND WE LOSE ON BOTH FRONTS. DR. CHAMBAS YOU THE LEADERS HAVE THE FUNDS BUT SOME OF YOU IF NOT MOST DO NOT FOLLOW UP WITH THE TRAINED TECHNOLOGISTS OR THE ENGINEERS WHAT THEY ARE OR ARE NOT DOING. IF THEY ARE ROAMING AROUND BECAUSE NOBODY CARES WHETHER OR NOT THEY BECOME PRODUCTIVE, ANOTHER AREA IS HOW TO GET FUNDING TO DO ANYTHING IN GHANA. WE ARE TOLD IN ORDER TO RAISE CAPITAL, YOU MUST HAVE A COLLATERAL, BUT IT IS NOT EASY AS IT SOUNDS AND THAT IS WHERE THE POWERS THAT BE INCLUDING YOURSELF COME IN. GHANA IN PARTICULAR AND AFRICA IN GENERAL MUST EMULATE THE CHINESE OR THE MALAYSIANS HOW THEY DID IT OR ARE DOING IT. WE KNOW THE QUESTIONS BUT NOT THE ANSWERS. WHEN I LISTENED TO GHANAIANS, THEY HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS EXCEPT THE CONCRETE SOLUTIONS. TECHNOLOGICAL AND SCIENTIFIC DEVELOPMENTS ARE CAPITAL INTENSIVE AND MANY TECHNOLOGISTS AND ENGINEERS CANNOT DO IT ON THEIR OWN. DOCUMENT AND PROVIDE HELP JUST AS YOU PROVIDE THE EDUCATION. DO OUR SCHOOLS OR UNIVERSITIES KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AFTER OUR GOOD BRAINS LEAVE SCHOOL? I DO NOT BELIEVE SO. MY EXAMPLE SURVEYOR WILL NEED A CHAIN, A TOTAL STATION STAFFS AND MANY MORE AND THESE INSTRUMENTS RUN INTO THOUSANDS OF CEDIS TO ACQUIRE. MY QUESTION IS, HOW WILL THE YOUNG LAND SURVEYOR BE ABLE TO DO IT? HELP, HELP, HELP!!

Talk is cheap, Dr. Chambas. "Africans should learn how to put their moneys where their mouths are", as they say.
If you know that something is good for you, what do you do? You treat that something very special. Because Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) are tougher courses everywhere, the Government must make a deliberate effort to encourage High School Students to go into such programs.
China did that in the early 70s and 80s and now benefiting from their investments in human capital development.
Other developed countries including America is taking measures now to address this problem. For instance they have STEM programs in most universities where High School Science, technology, Engineering and Mathematics majors are awarded scholarships so they can get head start in these fields during the summer break. Also when they enter universities, they continue to encourage them by providing these students with jobs specifically related to one of the STEM programs.
Rome, my friends, was not built in a day. Revamp the education systems to make this changes possible today. We wll reap the benefits in the future.

THESE SPEECHES HAVE OFTEN BEEN HEARD FROM THE THE VERY PEOPLE WHO DO HOLD POSITIONS WITH BIG DEGREE TITLES.
THE QUESTION IS WHY DO WE HAVE THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE ANBD TECHNOLOGY,THE MANY ESTABLISHED UNIVERSITUES, RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS AND ENGINEERS AND NATURAL SCIENCE GRADUATES IN THE COUNTRY.
ARE THESE INSTITUTIONS AND THE NOISY EDUCATED NOT AWARE THAT,THEY HAVE TO BECOME TRANSMITTERS OF KNOWLEDGE AND THE BACKBOME OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN GHANA.
WITHOUT A PRESSURE ON THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, HIGHER AND RESERACH INSTITUTIONS AND THE VERY HEADS AND DEANS OF OUR ENGINEEERING FACULTIES,THESE PREACHINGS AT SPPECH AND PRIZE GIVING DAYS WILL NEVER BE THE ANSWER TO OUR ECONOMIC BACKWARDNES,UNDERDEVELOPMENT AND POVERTY.
