When the TERM they are supposed to serve is over, THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM LEAVING, BECAUSE THEY HAVE THEIR PERMANENT MEANS OF LIVELIHOOD ALREADY. Politics is NOT for SOLDIERS, CIVIL SERVANTS, TEACHERS and OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED BY OTHERS. The introduction of THESE GROUP OF PEOPLE into politics is the BEGINNING OF CORRUPTION, TRIBAL DIVISION, HATRED, INSULTS, STEALING and all the other bad things we witness in politics today. WHERE DOES THE POOR MAN GO AFTER HIS TERM OF OFFICE IS OVER? This is where the TROUBLE BIGINGS. HE/SHE has to prepare himself/herself for that. ELECTORAL FRAUD, CORRUPTION, STEALING MONEY THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO THEM, SPEND TIME INSULTING HIS OPPONENT because he is a threat to his livelihood, PAY HIS WAY THROUGH ELECTIONS (that is, giving gifts for votes) and all other bad things that does not help the nation, but serve the interest of that individual. YOU DON'T QUIT YOUR JOB AND GO INTO POLITICS LIKE MOST PEOPLE HAVE DONE. IT IS THE BEGINNING OF ALL THE BAD THINGS WE ARE EXPERIENCING. POLITICS IS NOT A PERMANENT JOB.

It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution
