If our parliament cannot budget and ensure that their own electricity bill is paid, how can they guide this country through the complexity of future development.

We, Ghana have a big problem because we are not honest.

GCE has been accusing domestic clients (majority of whom use pre-paid meters,anyway) of non-payment of bills. Sometimes we are made to believe 70% don't pay electricity bills. But the major chunk of the outstanding ECG debts can be placed at the doorsteps of Government, Parliament, Military and other Security institutions... All these are those not affected by Dum-sor.

We are ready to clear forest lands in the Western Region, to create sunny areas to plant Photovoltaic cells for electricity production.
We are ready to propagate GMO foodstuffs that require lots of deadly chemicals as solution to our food supply problems, because there are not enough adequate roads to the farming areas to convey the crops to the urban markets, and food rots in the bush.
We are ready to assist foreigners to poison all our water bodies, and degrade our environment for a little personal gain.
Later on, we will go and arrange for huge loans from China and other countries (again with some personal percentage profits) to drill huge wells in the Savannah for drinking water, if the foreigners recommend that as the best solution.

The reason why parliament found money to pay for the Chinese furniture but couldn't find money to pay for the electricity it has consumed for more than a year is simple. The kickbacks involved in the Chinese deal is huge, and somebody made millions. He would make no kickbacks from settling parliament's arrears to the ecg. All arms of government are thoroughly rotten!

Seriously, right from the office of the presidency to the little hamlet in the village should go fully prepaid. This should also affect Water and Sewage Corporation!
