Mr Amoateng did time in jail and has suffered enough for his crime. We never seem to have any respite from these drug smugglers and now we have another drug scandal to live with. It makes no sense at all to be still talking about Amoateng when we have another big drug scandal staring us in the face. We need to have a conversation about the latest drug scandal, find out everything we need to know about it and punish the smuggler and all her accomplices, from the foreign affairs ministry to the passport office and the security department at the airport.
Talking about Amoateng sounds like an attempt cover-up and diminish the severity of the latest drug crime. Let all her accomplices be named, shamed and jailed , whoever that helped her pull off this huge drug trafficking crime. It does no good for us to be talking about the past when we should be talking about the present. It's our tendency to minimise gross acts of criminology by the juxtaposition of two similar crimes with the sole purpose of rationalizing and minimizing the severity of the new that emboldens the perpetrators of these shameful crimes to plot new adventures. Serving jail time will never be enough disincentive to the criminals until we begin calling a spade by its name and put a stop to government interference into the investigations.

I remember even bills were about being passed to release to serve his sentence in Ghana. What even makes this bust very dangerous and very reckless is that, from all indications, the Mahama NDC gov't has thrown caution to the dogs, and dishing out diplomatic passports to it's apparatchiks and operatives in the drug trade, and anybody who so wishes to join the drug trade menace, like confetti.
Ghana under the Mahama NDC gov't has become the Cocaine capital of the world. Indeed, it can be described as the modern day El Dorado of drug barons and international gamblers, in political garb.
Clearly, the full force of the Mahama led NDC gov't as a huge force for underdevelopment and stagnation on the back of incompetence, looting and crime akin to a mafia paradise or a failed state and banana republic with impunity, brigandry, banditry, recklessness and wantonness is on full display, and Ghana is a goner for it.

Then, sat in the front seat fumbling around with his keys for several minutes. Everyone left the bar and drove off. Finally, he started his engine and began to pull away.

The police officer was waiting for him. He stopped the driver, read him his rights and administered the Breathalyzer test. The results showed a reading of 0.0. The puzzled officer demanded to know how that could be. The driver replied, "Tonight, I'm the Designated Decoy.

Do you know how they got Honkong for 100 years?
