It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

I think for the purpose of good governance the President or government should have first told Ghanaians what exactly happened, because as it stands now there are questions as to whether the lady used the VVIP lounge or not. governemtnshould have first given us facts from which we can deduce that the NACOB board had been incompetent then we can give thumbs up to the President fir this action. So long as things are being done secretly becasue the President can hire and fire without reasons, it leads to more speculations. Ghanaians need to know why the Deputy Director for NACOB said what he said when logically it does not make sense. Otherwise as far as l am concerned the Mahama NDC governemtncontinues to be useless and incompetent.

All what is required is effective and efficient Energy Minister with one deputy who will be responsible for power generation and distribution. How can there be separate ministries for Energy and Power? Is power not part of Energy? Waste of scarce resources.

The President should have sacked the MD of ECG long time ago also for incompetence. Until Mahama takes on incompetent ministers and heads of public institutions, his presidency will fail abysmally.

With every issue, there are the rational beings who approach it objectively and dispassionately whilst on the other hand, there are the irrational and subjective ones who make you feel like puking. It is the more distressing and mind-boggling if the educated ones are culprits. Take for example that MOTOR-MOUTH, Franklin Cudjoe. His pronouncements since the saga broke out -like any other issue in Ghana-makes one wonders if he is really in charge of a think tank, an institution that in the real world must analyse issues of great import and put forward solutions/remedial measures.

Certain species in the animal world howl, even then for a purpose-to reinforce territorial rights or for mating purposes. Some Ghanaians have unfortunately now resorted to howling on national issues and when you unpack their howls, these have ulterior motives.

When the Black Stars' Brazil debacle involving $2 000 000 broke out, I had the misfortune of praising President Mahama's input as proactive when all over Ghanaweb the majority was cursing him for wasting the hard earned tax for nothing. For my view, one criminally insane individual under the moniker, GHANABA, was able to deduce that my moronic stance was the result of my TROKOSHIE ancestry that was why I could conclude so.

He failed to see the bigger picture that, had the money not been sent (to the derision of all the sour grapes) and the players failed to honor the match, Ghana would have faced sanctions that would have impaired its global standings more than the shame they concluded the action brought about. When the news broke out later that GFA was repaying (FROM FIFA'S PAYMENT), the money ADVANCED to it by the "irresponsible" Mahama administration, his detractors were too lilly-livered to admit that they were wrong. It was only one comment that appeared under it, even then it had no substance to the issue at stake.

When an editor published a news item which in any other society would have been deemed as bringing the name of the government into disrepute, (something that can lead to social upheaval/dislocation-note the virulent comments the alleged diplomatic passport elicited) people could not understand why he invited for questioning by the BNI. Oh how such incidents evoke nostalgia of Kwame Nkrumah.

Is it not ludicrous to read that the law on libel has been repealed so every one is entitled to freedom of speech?.It is an offence to shout FIRE in a crowded building even if it is a fire hazard.

It is ego-boosting to be the house that broke the news. On the other hand, it is noble to get your facts correct. Those living overseas, especially in the West may have had inklings of instances when a media house will not be the first to break the news because the facts cannot at that moment be authenticated.

Honesty, do you know what consoles me about such incidents that predominate Ghanaweb? IT IS THE FACT THAT WHEN GOD CREATED LOVELY PETS, HE HAD THE INFINITE WISDOM TO CREATE FLEAS to compel pet owners to care for them.

Without the irrational comments, would Ghanweb not be a very,very boring site to visit?

Behaviour has no co-relation with being a " bush" dwelling person. You could be living in East Legon or any upscale vicinity, yet your behaviour may be off the roof. Behavour has more to do with one's UP-BRINGING than "bush" or "city living".

So does that also mean Akrasi Sarpong's mandate has also been dissolved as the head of NACOB, because it is just not clear. How can the board be dissolved and Akrasi Sarpong would still be there, or is the NDC gov't whose drug barons have been severally caught in this drug trade, afraid to touch Akrasi Sarpong because of the interesting revelations that would consequently come up? The Mahama NDC gov't should be unambiguous about the fate of Akrasi Sarpong, and also about the fate of the Minister of Interior. It's the whole chain from the Ministry and minister responsible for that agency which is NACOB, to the governing board of the agency ie NACOB right down to the head of that agency.
If the governing board is being dissolved, Akrasi Sarpong should follow suit and it must be stated in clear unambiguous terms to bring clarity to the issues, and the ministry responsible should face the music as well.
And looking at the number of agencies which fall directly under the Ministry of Interior which should have executed their mandate such as the Immigration service, NACOB, Police Service, BNI etc, etc, these actions shows clearly that, the Minister of Interior needs to answer to a lot of questions and has to step aside since all the bodies that should have served to stymie the escalating NDC drug trade falls directly under the purview of the Ministry of Interior.

Believe it or not; this time round it's no gonna be a coup d'tat. It's mass action similar to the one in Burkina Faso.
President MAHAMA must resign to save his head. This's not security treat but a prophecy.
Wrath of God is on the president after what happened in 2012 coupled with the mismanagement of the economy and the untold hardships on Ghanaian.
I'm on record. Before December 2014, the reign of MAHAMA will end.
Two things; either he resigns of be forced out by popular uprising ib Ghana.
