He said, though a lot more money has been spent, it is a paradox of economic management that this level of excessive spending has only led to greater hardships being visited on the people.
“NDC inherited a public debt stock of GHS9.5 billion in 2009,” the former Deputy Governor of the central bank said. “Today, Ghana’s debt has gone up to GHS65.7 billion. So when I say the stakes are high I am talking about the destiny of our country, Ghana, the future of the youth.”
“The NDC has been taxing everything, including condoms and cutlasses. In terms of resources, this NDC government has had more resources than any other government. We did not have oil. Yet, Ghanaians know what we did with the limited resources we had. We spent money responsibly to create the NHIS, introduce Capitation Grant, expand access to education, we spent wisely on infrastructure and built more roads than any other government,” he said.

If any of my staff issue a Diplomatic passport from the passport office without my prior authorization, that essentially means that they have attempted to commit an unlawful act.”

Does the Director of Foreign Affairs has the authority to request preferential treatment to NDC drug barons to transit through the VVIP lounge without diplomatic passport, when the individual is also not a diplomat, and if the NDC gov't says Nayele Ametefe does not have a diplomatic passport? Again can the individual who received the call placed by the businessman to the VVIP lounge take that decision to accord preferential treatment to the NDC drug baron?
The statement as to a businessman placing a call to the VVIP lounge to facilitate the preferential treatment of the NDC drug baron, which is being put out there, makes for very interesting reading, because it just doesn't have any legs to stand on. Obviously a call was placed to a very higher up in the Foreign Affairs ministry or the Interior ministry or to NACOB, who then instructed Abiel Ashitey to instruct the NDC operatives at the VVIP lounge Kissi/Ahmed who have been facilitating the NDC drug baroness's trade to grant her safe passage, and accord her preferential treatment through the VVIP lounge of KIA, to make the haulage of the NDC cocaine across the Atlantic a sweet reality.
The Mahama NDC gov't has been a failure, and the two ministries Foreign Affairs and Interior, have failed in their mandate, or better still have allowed their outfit to be used to facilitate the NDC drug trade and it is sickening.
Ghana deserves better than what the NDC gov't is providing the country.
The NDC drug baroness is not going to speak, because they have seen to that, and shows that, she is a hardened NDC drug baron who has been in the NDC drug trade for a very long time. The NDC gov't is a disgrace.

It is true that you are to complete an embarkation form to the Immigration Officials prior boarding a plane. But in the case and scenario of Ms. Ametefe, she was driven right from her home in a State Vehicle and passed through the VVIP which means, her chauffeur dropped her at the tarmac without the embarkation procedure. In this sense, Immigration Officials will not have a paper trail about her. Got it? This indicates that, high powered individuals are involved in the case.
Read the last but 2-paragraph well and note that, MS. Hannah Tetteh said, "Ms. Ametefeh got on board the plane with only her handbag, noting that a bag was later delivered to her on the plane which contained the cocaine". Now the question is as Ms. Tetteh is in Ghana, how was she able to come with the above statement without talking personally with Ms. Ametefe? Maybe she got her statement from the Embassy staff in London - let's assumed so.
I will bet that the top at Immigration Service may not have a clue about this issue if it was hatched through only one personnel at the Airport Immigration Service.
