When international intelligence informed the NPP government headed by Kuffour and his Dwarf Attorney General (Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo in a case with MV Benjamin and 77 parcels of cocaine in Ghana waters what did they do? These were their excuses:

There is no helicopter to look for the Shipp,
The Navy ship is not in good condition for that operation
There is no fuel for the naval boat and also inadequate manning level to uncover MV Benjamin.

All these delay tactics were employed to allow this ship to get repainted in the high seas to avoid being detected. The irony is that the Ghanaian fishermen who whose economic activities in the high sea saw this ship several times before its colour was total changed. At this time the US and the UK intelligence were relying on Ghana to arrest this cocaine loaded ship.

When the alarm blew they managed to show some concern by making some skeleton arrest yet when the substance was sent to the NACOB office for keeps headed by NKRABEA EFFAH DATTERH the cocaine metamorphosed into different powder under his watch. Effah Darteh later resigns to defend the very people who were arrested in that cocaine scandal.

What is even more dangerous and diabolical is the leaked message from wilkileaks, which singled out Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo as one who uses and peddle drugs. Under the guise of NPP their own parliamentarian patented the party as an association of Narcotic Pedlars.

So what is the Aweengah minority leader (Mensa Kyei Bonsu) is trying to lament here?????... bi-partisan what?????? NKWASEASEM. Tell Ghanaian first whether your bearer Nana Addo is a user of the substance or not? That’s what we want to hear.

It has been there for a long time. Even some kids at JHS smoke it. If an adult does it, I don't care but not kids. There should be a concerted effort by society in general to check this menace.

No western nation will simply jail anyone for publicly smoking weed..you confiscate the substance and issue a fine, ticket. This is at best a misdemeanor. Not a 2week jail sentence

The guy will return on two weeks for his sentence. I think they are making a statement. Here in the USA, it is still illegal in some states and the Feds will still put you in jail.

mr. ankomah has spoken well and made some sense. however, l'm at lost by what he meant by the widespread & general prevalence of ganga smoking in the country. by my limited understanding of the law, it deals with only persons who are found/caught/ arrested breaking the law not persons presumped to be smoking ganga, or are said or reported to have broken the law. and again how do we reasonably expect a handful of policemen to effectively handle or stop wild fun making 50,000 ganga smoking partying auduence at a concert? any policeman that ever in anyway entertained such an idea need be examined. which is why they are armed with weapons to effectively discharge their mandate and even so the numbers must balance. finally. the authorities must come very hard on those handful of schizophrenics who in the name of press freedom and music sit on radio, eulogize and glamorise the socalled virtues of marijuana be severly dealt with and the act proscribed. in addition any covert or overt public advertisement of signs, symbols or paraphernalia of the substance be equally and totally ban forthwith. at least we appeared to have largely won a similar battle with cigarettes use. when for one reason or the other a persons social, financial, political or business standing becomes the bases for tempering with the law then we stand the danger of creating a lawless and rogue state and with it all its ugly and far reaching terrifying ramifications for social cohesion, progress and security..
