WE MIGHT AS WELL OUTSOURCE THIS TO OUR COLONIAL MASTERS FOR A FEE TO MANAGE OUR AFFIARS OUR OIL RESERVES EFFICIENTLY.

GHANAIANS CANNOT MANAGE EFFECTIVELY EVEN A PIG STY, LET ALONE THEIR NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM THE BLACK SATRS.

THE PROBLEM IS THIS:

ALMOST ALL THOSE GHANAIANS IN POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY IN GHANA ARE DOWNRIGHT CORRUPT LAZY VISIONLESS AND VERY BUSHLIKE.

He will expose his foolishness by acting as if he is from this planet just because he is the head of TOR. That nastiness is embedded in us. When given the opportunity to excel and prove that we are equal to the "pink-skin humans" it is then that we swore like the pig which dare anyone to shit in its mouth.

It is amazing how our MPs did not react after the Deputy Minister presented this proposal in parliament.

Petroleum is a sensitive and strategic business and should not be given to foreigners to run. These same foreign companies will use our own asset to sabotage our economy some day if we allow them to take over TOR. Look at how we are producing oil in the country but the foreign companies thst are doing the prodduction of oil refuse to sell crude to TOR? Are we not learning any lessons? Will the Saudis allow us to come and own anything in their country?

There are many wealthy Ghanaians now both in and outside of the country, we have the stock market, we can float bonds and look for loans to fill the financing gap that may needed to resuscitate TOR.

Our parliamentarians should rise up and boycott this idea as they are doing with the huge loans been secured by GNPC. We need innovative and talented CEOs and not just cronies of political parties who are devoid of business management ideas.

State Owned companies should have development focused, but must be private sector driven or managed in order to make them profitable and sustainable going forward.

If we have crude oil now in the country, why do we need the Saudis? We must embark on value chains in all our industries in order to see the economic growth and social development that underpins the Better Ghana Agenda. When we focus on implementation of the oil and gas value chains, we will transform our economy faster, create more jobs and wealth in a more sustainable manner. We will not only be looking at energy production, we will also be producing many petrochemicals, fertilizers for our agriculture production etc. The potential revenues from petrochemicals alone could pay off any loans we secure for TOR. Yes we can. We just use local talent to build the Ghana-Togo railway line which was commissioned yesterday by the President. We can become our own masters in bringing back TOR to life once again.

What is "Dutch Disease"?
A percentage of proceeds from oil, gold, diamonds, cocoa revenues etc should be deposited yearly in a Ghana Sovereign Wealth Fund account, a national 401k. This money will never be touched by any govt, period! This money will be invested all over the world in socially constructive projects. Projects to be excluded can include chemical nuclear projects, environmentally disastrous projects, product based exclusions, tobacco, walmart(human rights abuses). The ROI from this fund will be used to supplement infrastructure projects. Is Ghana a cursed, weak institution? Yes, I agree whole heartedly!

How to stop Corruption
1. Corruption Sensitivity Training: Educate the executives(attorney general, the judges, public officials, immigration, police officers)about the short, long term effects and impacts of corruption. Corruption Sensitivity Training should be a mandatory part of interview process, class, testing requirement for all ministers and public sector officials. Make them aware of the consequences and have them sign off on this. If judges, police officers, employees are educated and made to understand the explicit and implicit impacts of corruption and how it affects their own salaries, bonuses etc. Things will change!
2. Enforce the Law: Offenders must face jail time, tickets/fines, sell assets to payback what has been stolen, name and shame offenders in media
3. Put ethical persons in positions of power,

We have oil in Ghana yet the crude is exported overseas to be refined and sent back to be sold to us at a cut-throat price with the excuse that the oil cannot be refined here. We have timber here, yet we export the timber to China and the Chinese makes furniture and sell to Ghanaians to be used to furnish its parliamentary house for millions of dollars. We are the second gold exporting nation after South Africa, yet we sent these gold overseas to a white man and he makes rings, bracelets, etc and comes back to sell it to us. Even soccer, GFA sees nothing wrong in getting a white man instead of a Ghanaian as a coach. They prefer a white man who will charge over $200,000.00 just to put pen on paper to sign to be our coach and takes home a whooping $50,000.00 a month. How many Ghanaians makes such amount of money a month. Instead of enhancing the Ghanaian coach to improve on their lot to take over, they prefer a white man. How many of these white coaches have won even the African cup for us. The African cup were won by black coaches. How much were they paying Kwasi Appiah? Why paying such an amount to a white man instead of giving it to a Ghanaian who can do similar job for less. Ghanaians are our own enemies and not until we see ourselves as partners we will continue to be a slave to a white man thinking the white man has more brains than a black man.

So it did happen with the looting of merchant bank and now, Ibrahim Mahama walks into the bank and screams, "the real owners are here", after Tony Lithur and John Mahama decided to "maintain the status quo ante" initiated for the thieving of merchant bank.
This is the Ghana of today, where reckless thievery and looting is the main focus of gov't.
Even Ghanaian workers tier two pension funds have not been spared the ferocity of the Mahama NDC gov't's thievery.
The Mahama NDC gov't because of their looting said TOR could not refine the jubilee crude, which has been debunked by the workers at TOR and all professionals in the know about crude refining.
Ghana exports crude oil and spends forex to import crude, when the jubilee crude can be refined by TOR, and this is a gov't that is thinking? TOR as predicted is on the path of being stolen by the family and friends of the Mahama NDC looting brigade and Ghana is a goner for it.

3. When did you ever see a Saudi 'expert' at anything? Even shampoo for camels is produced in Saudi Arabia by Australians!!
4. Saudi produces the most oil, but ships most of it out as crude-oil, not refined. They are not experts in refinery. Oil is refined elsewhere and sold back to them as petroleum products!!
5. This country is a Monarchy whose governance is run as a family business and not by merit. Which 'expert' will they will be sending us, a prince?
5. Saudis don't travel. They don't go anywhere, no even as Ambassadors of their own country who I am told are mostly Egyptians.
Please ask the Americans for assistance to train our own experts.
Ghana can ask Saudi for financial assistance, but not refinery experts. Not at all.
