“In the last six years, the NDC has borrowed US$27 billion. Before that, we, the NPP, borrowed a total of US$5.5 billion in eight years. Compare that to the NDC borrowing $27 billion in six years and ask yourself what they have done with all that money,” the running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo said.

He said, though a lot more money has been spent, it is a paradox of economic management that this level of excessive spending has only led to greater hardships being visited on the people.

“NDC inherited a public debt stock of GHS9.5 billion in 2009,” the former Deputy Governor of the central bank said. “Today, Ghana’s debt has gone up to GHS65.7 billion. So when I say the stakes are high I am talking about the destiny of our country, Ghana, the future of the youth.”

“The NDC has been taxing everything, including condoms and cutlasses. In terms of resources, this NDC government has had more resources than any other government. We did not have oil. Yet, Ghanaians know what we did with the limited resources we had. We spent money responsibly to create the NHIS, introduce Capitation Grant, expand access to education, we spent wisely on infrastructure and built more roads than any other government,” he said.

Our experience with the quack neo-communists is that, they seize power unjustifiably through coups and counter coups, and Ghanaians only suffer dictatorship, tyranny, corruption and economic mismanagement under them. Being in power now for six years, the NDC has failed again to improve the economy simply because their fundamentals are wrong. In fact, they don't have what it takes to salvage the sinking economy.

Under normal circumstances, political parties are formed to produce leaders democratically. But in the case of NDC, a tyrant created the party with state power and resources to legitimize his illegitimate regime and cling to power fraudulently. NDC is therefore an artificial, illegitimate party followed by stomach politicians and sycophants.

The mere fact that Bagabaga College of Education was established in 1944, and was one of the oldest educational institutions in northern Ghana, disproves the myth being peddled around that Nkrumah introduced Education into the North. In fact, Western Education was introduced into the North long before Kwame Nkrumah became the prime-minister of the Gold Coast.

Northern leaders like S.D Dombo, Jato Keleo, B.K Adama, Tolon Naa, Bawumia and many others might have even completed their education and started their careers long before Nkrumah was brought to the Cold Coast from UK to serve as a General Secretary of the group fighting for our independence.

I was really disappointed to see Mr. Mahama plying dirty politics by honoring Nkrumah where he shouldn't be honored at all because; he didn't have anything to do with BAC. Mr. Mahama by his action is perpetuating the myth that Nkrumah civilized Northers by introducing Education to them. Even the much talked about free education that Mr. Mahama himself enjoyed was put forward by S.D Dombo as a political bargain for the unitary state and not any initiative by Nkrumah to civilize Northern Ghanaians.

As for winning the elections I believe whoever wins will not have any negative effect on the party as he has suggested but our leaders should always give way to others to contribute their quota otherwise when the people get tired of them things go worse.

If Ms Ametefeh has been allegedly doing such manoeuvres since 2009 goodness knows how many of such people have used this method just because of their status in society as security around such people have been relaxed. No one can be trusted when it comes to such issues any more as our security is at stake. The very thought of the NDC winning the elections again in 2016, is well and truly the worse case scenario for Ghana. This will inevitably and immediately plunge the country into a security crisis with unforeseen circumstances.

I agree that the NPP also do not impress me much as a party that can do any much better than the NDC but we really need some respite from the NDCs thieving and incompetent ways. If you take Akuffo-Addo out of the NPP equation, the rest of them in that party all have look-alike opportunistic respondents in the NDC.

Anyway, Mr Abodakpi, please think Ghana first, before NDC.
