When the VIP lounge is used as a cover for exporting drugs, the government should have been decent enough to accept responsibility, begin investigations promptly to arrest the culprits, and be seen to be putting the right rules in place to prevent it from happening again without being told. Logically, there is no fire without smoke and one plus one is two. Definitely, that Alhaji must have links with some people in authority, and the onus lies with the government to prove beyond doubt that it has nothing to do with the illicit drug business. Moreover, the Board Chairman said the VIP Lounge was a known market place.

"The drug barons are currently targeting Ghana making us a vulnerable nation hence we must toughen our national security at all our Airports. If Ms Ametefeh has been allegedly doing such manoeuvres since 2009 goodness knows how many of such people have used this method just because of their status in society as security around such people have been relaxed. No one can be trusted when it comes to such issues any more as our security is at stake. We should not even allow the VVIP section security to be relaxed so that unscrupulous people take advantage of such freedom afforded to them in the wake of this saga".

If the VVIP staff processed Ms Ametefeh and two other women then, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should have at least the names of the two other women. Have they passed on those details to the British authorities?

There are more questions than answers on this case. We are watching with interest.

This is the number one problem in Ghana. People commit crimes against the country and if not for political witch hunting, they are not punished. There is nothing to discourage others from doing the same. It is only those who deeply fear the Lord who refrain from stealing from the country. When shall we as a nation deal with those who are destroying the country through drugs, embezzlement and all acts of corruption? The CHRAJ boss does something wrong. There is a national outcry against that and yet she continues to be at post! National Service Director pays non existing 22,000 personnel - and I tell you this case is already dead. It will end no where. So what will prevent his successor from not doing the same - if not the fear if God?
