How were the athletes selected? We need interest regional high school meets. Inter poly and university games. I hope the high school kids get scholarships to continue their tertiary education in ghana or overseas.

This sort of reporting shows how unserious we are when it comes to athletics. MARTHA BISSAH became the first ghanaian to win an Olympic gold medal and not much has been written to get reasonable financial support for her or raise platforms to encourage other young ones to emulate. When GABRIELLE DOUGLAS became the first African American to win Olympic gold medal in artistic gymnastics just consider the number of organizations that raised platforms for her! Consider OPRAH WINFREY inviting her as guest to her show! We need to change!
