Traditionally, the Kumawuhene should have been installed in Kumawu. He would have sworn the oath of allegiance to his own people first before moving down to Manhyia, Kumasi, to swear the oath of allegiance to Asantehene.

If the Asantehene had stated that if any King or sub-King of Kumawu failed to attend the Installation and swearing-in ceremonies of Kumawuhene at Manhyia, should consider himself destooled.

This is dictatorial and unacceptable in the present day life.

Why should Kumawuhene be installed in Manhyia and to be followed by swearing-in? Is that the tradition or customary?

Kumawuhehe WAS NOT NOMINATED IN KUMAWU BY KUMAWUHEMA,parade him throughout the major streets of Kumawu and later on installed.

ACCORDING TO TRADITION, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE and should not be FORCED ON THE PEOPLE OF KUMAWU.

Recently when Scotland wanted to secede from the British Parliament, the people of Scotland went to a modern style called referendum. If it had been the days of QUEEN VICTORIA, the idea of referendum would not have surfaced.

We must also modernize.

There is the need to modify our traditional rules and laws to bring peace and harmony among the people.

Across the length and breadth of this country, we cannot name a single chief/king who has not sold out the people they claim to represent.

In our present day Ghana, leaders are not responsible to their people; they plunder their domains and ransack the vaults and ask their people to hold the empty sacks.

The Ashantihene is not the President of this country but he travels around the world in the Presidential Plane of Ghana ..... why ? ..... because of the Unholy alliance he has built with Mahama and the NDC for his own profit.
