  This country is in a mess. A person steals 1,540 cedis and gets 25 years in prison, while those who have stolen millions go free and others get promoted to higher positions. WHAT A COUNTRY.

  How on earth do you jail someone 25 years for stealing less than $500 us dollars? The judiciary system in Ghana is so bad something has to be done. Bastards’ politicians are looting our national treasury in millions of doll ...

  How on earth do you jail someone 25 years for stealing less than $500 us dollars? The judiciary system in Ghana is so bad something has to be done. Bastards’ politicians are looting our national treasury in millions of dollars and getting away with serious crime and fraud and we jail a common thief of less than 500 dollars for 25 years, what a joke. This has to stop, I am appealing to all Ghanaians regardless of political persuasion to fight against this injustice. Not only this is injustice, it also eats up our national treasury for the maintenance of these prisoners.

  masa, did you read the part that talks about someone been shoot? that is a really dangerous person and should be killed. 25yrs is even less.

  Vodoo, I am so terribly disappointed in you. I have almost always respected your views on this forum until now. A judge sentences ARMED ROBBERS, who have even shot someone, to 25 years imprisonment and you think he deserves this name calling? How else do you expect law enforcement to combat armed robbery which is constantly on the rise in Ghana? The argument that politicians are looting the country and nothing happens to them is untenable in this case. No thieving politicians were brought before this judge and therefore no one should expect him to pronounce judgment on any politicians in vacuum. You definitely should know better unless someone else is using your name.
