Yes, it is a very quick and dangerous killer, if you don't know. His must have raptured (hence the purulent peritonitis) spewing the very poisonous accumulated bacterial infected feces into his cavity

Osofo , appendicitis would cause an infection and bcos it wasn't treated could have caused the peritonitis.
The man would have been in unbearable pain and would've had a temperature too.

Not treated but the appendix had to be removed (appendicectomy) else.

I don't think acute appendicitis kills in a very short time. If he had the so-called purulent peritonitis then he must have been sick for sometime. Was treatment delayed then? I'll be back!

Yes, this case raises serious issues about delay and can give rise to a Negligence claim against the Prisons Service if in the West. Police Hospital was created for cases relating to the sector as well as serve the public.

It takes negligence on the part of those in authority in the form of delayed treatment or denial of treatment for someone to die of appendicitis. There is a lot of questions to be answered on the death of the young man.
