Being in power for six years with high commodity prices including the newly found oil, and after recklessly borrowing more than 60.8% of the GDP or $27bn in six years for dubious contracts and "oil curse" expenses, forcing the Cedi to depreciate to about 40% of its value and the administration rushing to IMF for a bail out, the NDC government is now propagating deceitfully that it's seeking to reduce Ghana's import bill on rice, sugar, tomatoes, among other items, by encouraging the production of those commodities locally.

The question Ghanaians are asking is whether the NDC government thinks we believe they are serious and realistic about food production, when they have already squandered six years and have only two years to leave office? Agriculture, and food production in particular, is a priority that should've been started and concentrated on since 2009. But unfortunately, they said they were still looking for ways to start it next year or so. Even SADA as a policy initiative is no more on government's agenda for 2015. We know they can cook figures to deceive Ghanaians; but they can't cook figures to deceive the IMF. Can they?

Should the President of the Volta Region House of Chiefs speak on issues in the region or talk about the problems in my hometown Nkawie? Should Togbe sidelined the huge infrastructural deficit in the region and talk about the Suhum-Accra Road?

Is there anyone left in mother Ghana with understanding of either government budgeting processes or the art of political deception by incoming party governments?
The people of the Volta region feel slighted because of incomplete government projects in the region but selfishly and hypocriticaly forget that the same can be said of any other region in Ghana and more so in regions where leadership of the NPP or NDC have not been the favorite son. For example, where were the people of the Volta region when J.J. Rawlings was the man of the decade and chose everything Volta over everyone else? I would suggest to the people of the Volta region visit with NAna Konadu Rawlings who seem to have it both ways benefiting from a husband who hails from the Volta region and when being from the Volta is in vogue and get to dance in the streets when NPP is in power and in style to be an Ashanti.
Every region in Ghana is lacking in jobs, infrastructure development and or school structures befitting of human beings and the people of the Volta region will just have to learn to wait along with everyone else. There is no God but one God and no tribe or region in Ghana superior except for the delusional citizens from some of our regions who can only dream.

Every Region has projects that needs to be completed, so the VR needs to wait their turn. If they want it as soon as possible, they should tell Woyome to return the money, so it can be used for some of these projects. Over $30million dollars is a lot of money, and Woyome can help Ghana by returning the money.
